I've always wondered whether or not I have ADHD and regardless, this book was very helpful to understand not only the diagnosis and interventions, but the specific attributes. I've seen the Holderness family's videos in the past and was quite entertained. I didn't realize that Penn was ADHD until I stumbled across an online post. I then learned about the book and decided to give it a try. I had low expectations because I didn't think you could marry a serious topic with such a nonserious or whimsical personality. You can and that's what makes this book special. It helped me understand myself better. I wish I would have had it 10 or 20 years ago, so I am really looking in the mirror on half of my behaviors, but that's ok. I have the other half to work on and the first half, I feel reassured. This is a book that I would highly recommend! It's also a book that I need to listen to again ... and again. I feel that the audiobook adds that persona that Penn and Kim are in the same room with you! Thank you for one of the best books I've ever listened to!

Was this book perfect? No, but few books are. This one was 90%+. Diamond Cut was an excellent mystery, edgy with very few loose ends! I love the strength of the main character, that she owns her past and identifies her strengths and flaws. When I read Diamond Cut, I felt that I was in a Kathryn Dance format (author Jeffrey Deaver). While Dance was a career investigator, Sandy Corrigan is a newly minted PI trying to figure things out. Recently, I finished reading/listening to the first few crime mysteries with the character Sydney Rye by author Emily Kimmelman. While I found the Sydney Rye books a hair more interesting and complicated, but I found Diamond Cut more polished and satisfying ... more along the lines of a Kathryn Dance type of novel. While Deaver leverages Dance's science and kinesics, Cavanaugh highlights Corrigan's past and instincts as a result. Kudos to Cavanaugh for putting together a high-end mystery!

Fascinating book on immigration, migration, and the Underworld. Author did a great job. Great balance of history, politics exit right in the human story
