The story was a very interesting one.
With that said the author missed her opportunity to make this book off the chart.
Christina was so gullible and immature
she was more on the age of 13 rather than 30. She spent so much time plotting revenge only to failing then blame Bill. Her character quickly became tiring.
Bill was a weak confused spoiled son.
He needed a job.
Oh well I’ll finish the book as I bought this based on the title. Wrong answer.

Gibson is the man. I waited anxiously for the next chapter in Gibson’s saga. At poison feather’s end we found Gibson snatched drugged on his way to a CIA black-site. I truly was anxious for Gibson. I’m glad my wait was reasonable. I hope this is not the end of Gibson as Ellie is still in his rear view.
The story unfolds with intrigue and suspense. Old charters reappear and lend themselves to the story in true loyal brotherhood. The ending is satisfactory if it dose prove to be the end. Hope not.

Suspense at it’s best.

This story kept me on edge until the last word.
That said I didn’t like the weakness of Amelia or Ellie. They both seem to live in La la land. I’m not sure why they both have such low self esteem and only value themselves in what the men in their lives think of them.
Amelia marries a man that she lives to question his love.
Ellie refuse to believe the man she’s grown to love and trust from childhood is a murder and thief. She covers his misdeeds and fails to tell her fiancée of his continued communication.

Hillbilly reasoning
Revisado: 11-12-17
Hannah was mental. I really think what every mental health issues her father had must have been genetic as Hannah suffer from them.
This whole family history is based on lies. Deep ridiculous lies that can not possible stay hidden for ever. Grandma started one that her husband co-sign then Hannah continues it and add the most damaging illegal continuation that Now effects others.
I did not like the author’s smoothing over and excuse of the illegal immoral acts committed by Hannah. Love and family is one thing kidnapping and hiding a death is another. Yes it was kidnapping when she did not report the child after she knew of the death of the grandfather.
The story did capture and hold my attention. It was interesting and kept me on the edge waiting for the jig is up moment as you knew it was coming.
I just don’t think Hannah was a good person who did wrong, I think she has mental issues and justified her bad decisions, starting with first Hannah .

Molly’s web
Revisado: 10-18-17
Great story unlikable characters.
Charlotte is the typical evangelical Christian, “hypocritical” she likes looking and quoting scriptures but don’t know the real walk.
Molly is a self centered selfish Southern bell. Whoa is me is her constant song. I get something life shattering happened to her, but at some point you got to start moving forward. She’s going to be a mother time to pull up her big girl panties.
Narrator’s voice is perfect for Molly.
The book ending is great wrap up for both mother and daughter.

Historia
As her four sisters become absorbed in their own romantic dramas, Mary Bennet stands apart, believing herself “not pretty enough” to dance with. She watches while Mr. Darcy and Mr. Bingley - and Mr. Wickham - waltz into her sisters’ lives, judging all three gentlemen quite dispassionately (and as it turns out, accurately). But Mary may not be quite so clear-sighted when she finally falls in love herself. She will first have to overcome her own brand of "pride and prejudice."

Whoa is me
Revisado: 10-16-17
Mary is a snob with an persecution complex. The narrator’s nasal voice for Mary seem dead on. Mary’s constant quoting of scripture and sayings from her book of wise sayings of other sets her apart. I really did not care for Mary.
Her sisters were typical women of that era concerned for marrying well . Their only outlook for the world around them was seen thru eyes of privileged. Mary was half in and an outsider with same prejudices of class and people. I’m just glad I forced myself to finish.

Just okay
Revisado: 10-14-17
The book opens with a bang. Colby is forced to watch her husband commit suicide. She blames herself.
Alec Joe’s older brother blames himself for his brother’s accidental death after Joe dies with taking a foolish dare. This occurs after they’ve had a fight the previous evening.
Mr. Morgan Joe’s dad blames Mark and Colby for his son’s death and becomes a angry bully with his family. It goes on on on with everyone blaming themselves or someone else rather than the two dead people.
These characters could only be product of a female writer as Alec came off too emotional. It became tiring listening to all the lies and deception Colby and Alec engaged in.
The guilt was over the top. At some point you want Alec to man up and Colby to pull her big girl panties and be open honest and deal with issues.
Mark had mental issues she agreed with him to hide from everyone then she’s surprised her won’t get medical help to deal with his bipolar disorder.
Joes was a adrenaline junky and lived life to appease that addiction. Two self centered people who caused a lot of dust up with their demise.
Book was ok, just tiring.

Revisado: 10-02-17
I love the whole story line. The love of God was shared not preached or shoved down your throat. In everyday life , difficulties and mistakes God cares. All the characters were had issues and trials but lived their lives excepting challenges and failings. How they chose to live spoke more than what was preached. Great story.

The narrator ‘s voice fit the character, but after awhile it was nearby wracking. The book was to mushy.
Nicky’s character was made to sound like a uneducated brute. Didn’t care for how Amelia came off as a yes woman. Not May cup of tea I guess.

Julianne Westcott was living the kind of life that other Protestant girls in prewar Liverpool could only dream about: old money, silk ball gowns, and prominent young men lining up to escort her. But when she learns of a blind-and-deaf brother, institutionalized since birth, the illusion of her perfect life and family shatters around her.

Beautifully selfish story
Revisado: 09-07-17
The story was beautifully written.
The tragedy of war torn England and destruction was visual thru authors portrayal.
I didn't like the characters of Juli Ann or her parents. Their lives were wrapped around appearances. The period practice of socializing and marrying within your social class.
Mr & Mrs. Westcot are cold people with deep bigotry for anyone unlike them. It's unthinkable that their daughter should marry a catholic or Irishman. They placed their disabled son in a home and promptly dismissed him as non existing. After all how can they face society with a disabled child what will people think . Julia has the same mentality. It show with the poor decision she makes in avoiding her parents and running to Lucile's. Then quickly go downhill from their.
The biggest betrayal is yet to come all out of selfish pride wow is me attitude.
Julia never once considers anyone else's feelings outside of her own narrow selfish views.
I found it hard to feel sorry for her.
The story did keep you alert and hoping for redemption for Julia's poor choices. Years later an opportunity presents itself, see if you agree with her choice.
