Historia
In Primary Threat (The Forging of Luke Stone, Book 3), a ground-breaking action thriller by number one best seller Jack Mars, elite Delta Force veteran Luke Stone, 29, leads the FBI's Special Response Team as they respond to a hostage situation on an oil rig in the remote Arctic. Yet what at first seems like a simple terrorist event may, it turns out, be much more. With a Russian master plan unfolding rapidly in the Arctic, Luke may have arrived at the precipice of the next world war. And Luke Stone may just be the only man standing in its way.

Worlds Biggest Bad@$$ sounds like a whiney B.
Revisado: 02-28-20
I thought in the last couple books that the narrator was completely off from the tone of who Luke Stone is. The high pitched nasal whining finally got to me in this one. When the writing and narration can make Navy Seals seem like frightened teenagers at magic the gathering party...... I knew I had to write this. It was just too much this time.

non binary enough said for a "children's book" completely inappropriate for young children. This book is pushing an agenda and I want no part. Thank god I can return this. Not supporting this author and their ideas of how to program kids.

Historia
Meet Brady Hawk. Former Navy SEAL. Former Peace Corps worker. Current blacks ops assassin. To those with the highest security clearance, it's a line item known only as Project X. But to the half-dozen agents and personnel working for it, it's known as Firestorm, a black ops group so dark that the US president doesn't even know about them yet. And no agent is as skilled as Brady Hawk.

It was like a B rated Movie met a B rated Game
Revisado: 09-12-18
Where do I begin.... Let me start with the writing
You have the worlds foremost assassin (Hawk) who manages to get caught several times every time he is on a mission. For someone that is suppose to be world class he is a bumbling boyscout when it comes to espianage. The use of the cheesy oneliners, Single Punch knockouts, impossible escape scenarios are only as bad as the character development and the plot of the 1st and second book. Also the book does not flow right it feels very herky jerky like the writer would take a break for the evening and the mele of idiocy continues after a good nights sleep.
Then you have the narrator who makes all afticans sound like they speak with an irish accent and his Australian accent sound horribly british. It is truly distracting and they are so close that when two characters are talking it sounds like one person having a crazy conversation with themselves. Then there is Hawk that sounds like batman and dirty harry had a gruff sounding love child. I am just waiting for Hawk to ask one of the character if they feel luck punk.
I am not sure how this book got published or why it has the possitve reviews that it does, but if the writing and plot is publishable... I should take a crack at writing. Because it seems like if these books were published, I would make a killing.

Historia
Narrated by Emmy Award–winning actor Martin Sheen, The Home Front: Life in America During World War II takes listeners into the lives of Americans at home—part of the Greatest Generation—who supported the war effort and sustained the country during wartime. The war brought immediate, life-changing shifts: the rationing of meat, dairy products, and sugar; an explosion of war-related jobs; and, despite mixed signals, a greater role for women working outside the home.

The Last Layover is a fiction novel based on real places and potential scenarios where an out of control government pushes America to the brink of financial and social collapse. This vulnerable state allows the unthinkable to happen, causing the comfort, security, and conveniences of our modern first world society to quickly come to an end.

Grab the Tinfoil and Milk to choke this down
Revisado: 03-18-16
What could have made this a 4 or 5-star listening experience for you?
This book has no depth and nothing but B.S. Military bravado from someone that either wasn't military or a REMF. As a veteran I am embarrassed by the cliche riddled text. This is the stereotypical paranoid prepper novel that gives prepping a bad name. The characters are lighting up everyone and giving a Arnold S. type catch phrase after every encounter.
What was most disappointing about Stevens C. Bird’s story?
The entire thing is HORRIBLE. I mean, I own 200+ books on audible and I could get my money back I would. This is by far
The.
Worst.
Book.
Ever.
The plot and writing of this book would not even make it a C rate movie.
Who would you have cast as narrator instead of Joshua Bangle?
No narrator could have made this book good.
You didn’t love this book... but did it have any redeeming qualities?
Not a single one. Everything in topical and mainstream. The characters gives veterans a bad name and preppers an even worse one. The testosterone fuled faux military bravado is sickening. It was almost like two frat boys were writing this for a intro to creative writing course and continued on.
Any additional comments?
I want my money back.

Historia
Already cited on the floor of Congress and discussed in the corridors of the Pentagon as a book all Americans should read, One Second After is the story of a war scenario that could become all too terrifyingly real. Based upon a real weapon - the Electro Magnetic Pulse (EMP) - which may already be in the hands of our enemies, it is a truly realistic look at the awesome power of a weapon that can destroy the entire United States.

Great Book. Buying a hardback for my library.
Revisado: 03-20-15
Would you recommend this audiobook to a friend? If so, why?
This book is a well thought out view of what if. It was researched and the probability factor struck home with me. So I would tell a friend to read it. Most already have.
Who was your favorite character and why?
All the characters are well developed. However, the mother in law Jenn or the Sergeant. They both are strong in their own right, but have a underlying softness to them.
Did you have an extreme reaction to this book? Did it make you laugh or cry?
I think there were parts that made me sad. It looked realistically and accurately at a what a dying off would look like. It also goes into some of the lengths people would / could go to survive.
