Historia
Everything, well, almost everything, you know about American history is wrong because most textbooks and popular history books are written by left-wing academic historians who treat their biases as fact. But fear not; Professor Thomas Woods refutes the popular myths in The Politically Incorrect Guide to American History.

Right Wing Propoganda — history taken out of context
Revisado: 12-08-24
I picked up this book hoping it’d be an accurate depiction of American history, atrocities and shameful acts included (it was on sale for a $1.50 and didn’t bother reading the decoration). Within the first chapter it became clear that information was being taken out of context and facts were being skewed to fit a right wing conservative perspective on history. If you want to read this book I recommend having Google on hand so you can look up the context of every “fact” that is uttered so you can come to your own conclusion on how inaccurately this book depicts American history.

Historia
The tellers of Greek myths—historically men—have routinely sidelined the female characters. When they do take a larger role, women are often portrayed as monstrous, vengeful or just plain evil—like Pandora, the woman of eternal scorn and damnation whose curiosity is tasked with causing all the world’s suffering and wickedness when she opened that forbidden box. But, as Natalie Haynes reveals, in ancient Greek myths there was no box. It was a jar . . . which is far more likely to tip over.

An amazing conclusion to an epic story
Revisado: 03-17-24
As a huge fan of Greek mythology this series has satisfied an itch for new media revolved the classics. The subtlety and reward for knowing your Greek myths is so satisfying. And I love the characterization of each of the character, especially Hermes— I legit smile every time he speaks. The audiobook is beautifully performed and overall, I’m impressed. There are trigger warnings at the beginning for suicide and sexual violence which are very appreciated.

Imagine a job where you work four days a week and earn as much as the CEO. You also get full benefits, a gym membership, free lunch, and unlimited time off, no questions asked. Hard-won profits don’t just end up in the CEO’s pocket—they’re distributed equally among all employees. The company even buys you your very own car. It sounds too good to be true, but this is the reality at Tunnel Vision, the clothing company that Madeline Pendleton built from the ground up.

Inspiring in these bleak times
Revisado: 01-17-24
Madeline tells her life’s story and gives us a little hope that us millennials and gen z kids can actually still have a future that isn’t miserable and stressful. Madeline’s advice is relatable and current with the perspective and knowledge of just how hard times are right now for the average person. Also, Madeline told her story, in her own voice, and it was a wonderful listen, I know it’s a book I will revisit every few years for my own inspiration. Thank you for sharing, Madeline

Revisado: 01-16-24
This expansion on the atla universe is so wonderful, scratching an itch I’ve had for years in wanting more story. These books are darker than the tv series, and I’ve thoroughly enjoyed it

An absolutely stunning representation of a bisexual heroine , commuting to Kyoshi’s legacy of being ruthless while also giving her a heart. It’s a compelling story expanding on the atla universe. I seriously can’t get enough and can’t wait to read the yangchen series as well!

Historia
The actors, singers, and patrons of the Paris Opera House say that a ghost haunts the labyrinthine chambers beneath its stage. While there are those who laugh off such superstitions, they always do so nervously, in the bright light of day. Nearly everyone connected with the Opera House in any way has felt the phantom's vague, troubling presence. But beautiful, talented young singer Christine Daae will soon experience a terror far more acute than any vague feeling of unease.
