Historia
I tried to run. I tried to hide. But look where it got me: captured and held firmly in the grasp of my HellBeast King. One still intent on completing the claim he feels he has on me. Which I knew meant only one thing: making me his—in every single way. By claiming my heart, then my blood, and now the very last thing left of me to give… He wants my body. But after having my heart trampled on, and after I had been willing to hand it over freely... Will I now finally accept what he calls my fate?

Narrator could be better
Revisado: 07-24-23
I love this series, so I am sticking it out. However, the narrator talks like she’s got cotton balls stuck in her mouth, and I can’t tell if she has a British accent and is trying to speak with an American one, or vice versa. I say this, because there will be times when her English-speaking character will have a slight British accent or her British character will have a slight English accent. She has read all of these books so far and they all sound the same. I wish they would get a different narrator.

Historia
The day I snuck into the infamous Devil’s Ring Fight Club. I had followed my cousin Amelia, who turned out not to be quite as innocent as I first believed. In fact, it turned out she didn’t live in the same world as I did…Not at all. I knew this the moment I entered his kingdom. My world changed the moment he found me. He gave me a warning that night. He told me if he ever found me again then next time, he wouldn’t be so quick in letting me escape him. His little Red Riding Hood. It was a threat I took seriously as it was only my dreams that took me back to that place.

good story, okay narration
Revisado: 04-26-22
I read this story prior to audible coming out and really enjoyed it. The narration is okay, but I can't figure out if she's Irish trying to do an American accent or American trying to do an Irish or British accent. It's really bizarre and she waffles back and forth saying one word that sounds American and another word that sounds British and then another word that sounds Irish. It's really odd and distracting. I will probably listen to the second and third book as it was okay enough to continue listening. It's just a little weird and I wish she would figure that out before doing the next in the series.
As far as the story goes, it's not my favorite of Stephanie Hudson's. I prefer the Transfusion series overall, but one is okay. I am interested in it enough to continue with the rest of the books when they come out. Ella, the Fernando lead, is a little irritating at times. I understand why she is due to her circumstances, but it sometimes seems like she is creating more of the issues then helping.

Historia
Gracie Reed is doing just fine. Sure, she was fired by her overly “friendly” boss, and yes, she still hasn’t gotten her mother into the nursing home of their dreams, but she’s healthy, she’s (somewhat) happy, and she’s (mostly) holding it all together. But when a mysterious SUV pulls up beside her, revealing Chinese cinema's golden couple Wei Fangli and Sam Yao, Gracie’s world is turned on its head. The famous actress has a proposition: Due to their uncanny resemblance, Fangli wants Gracie to be her stand-in.

this book was a little different than the ones I normally listen to. It's very sweet and there were several times when I was laughing out loud. The narration was great. she made the characters like bowl and believable. It was a fun story to listen to and I would highly recommend for a light-hearted romance.

Historia
When everything is on the line, how far will you go to protect those you love? What if the cost of saving them is your soul? Would you pay it? I thought I was prepared for what was coming; that if I made sacrifices, I could win this game. I’m no longer afraid of the darkness or the monsters that hide in the shadows. I’ve become what I feared most, allowing it in to protect those I loved. Sometimes it takes a monster to win. Sometimes to fight monsters, you have to become one. My only fear is…can I come back from it?

good story, OK narration
Revisado: 07-21-21
I enjoyed the story and the fact that this is a spin-off of her Fae Chronicles series. I've read previous reviews about the narrator's voice and still decided to give this book a try because I liked the other Series so much. I do see what others have said about her sounding like a teenage girl. I do wish they had a narrator that had a more mature sounding voice but it wasn't so horrible to get past that I couldn't focus on the actual story being told. Wurster read, and I will probably finish the series.

Historia
In 2016, the morning after Valentine's Day, Luke's son passed away from breathing issues complicated by congenital birth defects. He was 21 months old. And his name was Finnegan. This kind of loss is terrifyingly huge and scary, but the love and light in this story far outweigh the tragedy. Through comic-book metaphors, Shakespeare references, and lilting Irish brogues, Luke tells the story of his too-short time with Finn. This is his tribute to storytelling, parenthood, and his rosy-cheeked, blue-eyed baby boy.

So touching
Revisado: 04-04-21
I have listed to a lot of books bestirred narrated by Luke Daniels, so I was interested when I saw this book came up as a suggestion. I have never experienced grief like this first hand so I can not sympathize with him but the picture he painted made me empathize in a way I never have before for someone. The story was beautiful and tragic and funny and I do feel privileged to have listened to it. I am thankful that he he felt moved to share his son's story and appreciate that he was courageous enough to narrate it, as he lived it and can portray the depth of emotion like no one else could. And while it was a beautiful and touching story, it might be a while before I can listen to it again.

Historia
Afterlife, just a place for an unhappy king to call home or soon to become a beacon of hope when a new waitress falls at his feet? The Gothic nightclub is about to welcome a new guest, and this time it is one he can’t control. As for Dominic Draven, the king of all supernatural life, handling just one little mortal named Keira should be no problem for him…right? Wrong! As she is his chosen one, she is not meant to be ruled by a domineering, overbearing, arrogant boss who is determined to keep her at arm’s length.

great story, not great narration
Revisado: 02-22-21
As always I love Stephanie Hudson's stories. However after having Draven built up in the Afterlife Saga, hearing the voice portrayed in this work was a complete let down. Russell Bentley might be fine narrating other stories however he does not have the deep brody authoritative sexy voice that I had built up in my mind. It's a little weird now to picture Draven's character with his voice. I have not at this point finished the story, however I know I will since I have to complete all her books, but it is difficult so far and I'm only on chapter 5. Also the Vincent character sounds like a whiny teenager versus the sultry character he is also supposed to portray. I wish they would audition people for these types of stories, and at least let the author has a say. I doubt this is the person she would have picked to read for Drazen.

But now Ari lives with a new enemy and one she can no longer run from...her past. But soon she will discover that even her past can cling to their future and hold it captive in the form of a curse. So, with a murderer lurking in the shadows of their past and an Angel on the hunt, a killer is not the only thing out there for Vincent to find.

good story, not good narration
Revisado: 02-13-21
like other reviews I read, the narration was not great. Her regular reading voice would have been fine for the main character's voice instead of the bizarre English, Scottish accent that she tried to do. It would be nice if narrators that are new to storylines would listen to previous narrators to see how they portrayed the characters voice. While I understand this is a different story line the characters are still the same and it's bizarre to hear Ari, who had a more sultry English accent in the Afterlife Saga then to go to this weird English, Scottish accent where the narrator can't choose how she wants her to sound. I ended up finishing the book via Kindle instead of Audible. I prefer other narrators to this one.

After the way my first love took off for the ends of the earth, the last thing I want is to see him on billboards and bookstore bestseller shelves. Now my boss just handed me the project that could make my career. All I have to do is partner up with the man, the myth, the legend - adventurer Hunter Armstrong. That's easier said than done, because when we reconnect, I learn Hunter has his own agenda on this project. And it's not to find a treasure in art and antiques. It's me. But what we discover shocks both of us, and we have no choice but to follow the clues....

interesting story, so-so narrating
Revisado: 02-06-20
I really enjoy Lauren Blakely's writing and I love listening to Andi Arndt, she is fantastic. But the make performer was throwing me off and I couldn't get into his reading due to all the odd pause and emphasis on words that didn't for. He had a weird hitch in his speech I didn't care for at all. I'll finish the other 2 books because I was interested in the story enough to want to know what's happens. Just not a fan of his narrating.

not my favorite is the series
Revisado: 08-25-18
I was really looking forward to this book, having listened to all the others twice. So when I gunshot get to it, it was a let down. SPOILER ALERT: I didn't feel the end justified the means. Atticus already paid dearly throughout the series, even to the point of losing his life. The whole ending was just depressing and left you feeling bereft. There were a lot of loose ends and unanswered questions. I get the premise of actions having consequence but it seemed that Atticus was the only target for those consequences and no one else got their comeuppance or "learned their lesson". I thoroughly enjoyed the series up to this book and will more than likely reread them all again...except this one.
