This audio was really helpful for me. There are some nice motivational phrases, however doing the exercises will get you the most benefit.

I've heard that since this book Robbins has changed his style, preferring to focus completely on your motivation toward a goal, rather than in this book he also leverages your need to be motivated away from a situation - such as poverty, or neglect.

In his more recent works you might find his style has evolved with the research he's done on motivation and goals?

A new way to see yourself and others

This is a beautiful and gentle way of seeing others and yourself in a much more compassionate way. Knowing that everything we are programmed with is just a habit that has been deeply entrenched over the millenia. The beauty about a habit is that it's changeable when you do another behaviour instead.

I've got a couple of these hypnosis audios and this is definitely the most effective. It's like I'm addicted to listening to it before sleep now because I know I'll have a much more productive day following. It is quite strange when you wake up and realise the track has just finished.

I like to listen to these before bed and let it resonate during sleep. I do feel more motivated and personally resilient. It's hard to know if it's actually working, but I'm not going to stop to test my hypothesis.

The benefits of coaching

This author has a great ability to translate the benefits of coaching and the value it offers, however I was looking for ways to bring coaching into my discussions and the types of questions I would ask to influence and persuade, to manage my manager's behaviours and support my colleagues during difficult times. Maybe a slight misinterpretation of the title.

Pure genius

This book was so uplifting and filled with fantastic wisdom about reconnecting with your own values. The main premise was remaining true to the things that are important to you, despite the conditions you are sometimes faced with - like coming into contact with challenging customers, beauracracy within your organisation, restrictive policies and procedures, and team mates who don't want to play team. If a postal worker can inspire people and deliver them amazing, personalised and touching service, I'm pretty sure I can too.

Great structure for presenting

If you're looking for the structure of how to present well, this will be great for you. It's not about charisma, rhetoric or the softer skills in presenting, however it is really useful for creating the bones of your presention, especially if you've got so much to talk about you don't know where to start - or if you don't have much to talk about and can't think of how to fill in your 30minutes in the spotlight.

Great industry testimonials

This series is fantastic for the industry talent they've sourced experiences from. I've downloaded quite a number of them and listen on my way to work. This one is great, as it has a variety of different perspectives from sectors such as not for profit and travel, amongst others. I'm in marketing and wanting to manage-up to coach my management team about the importance of building a high performance culture, which is naturally aligned to our brand. This was a short and sharp way for me to bring some metaphors and industry experiences into my influencing.
