The Foundling tells the incredible and inspiring true story of Paul Fronczak, a man who recently discovered via a DNA test that he was not who he thought he was - and set out to solve two 50-year-old mysteries at once. Along the way he upturned the genealogy industry, unearthed his family's deepest secrets, and broke open the second longest cold-case in US history, all in a desperate bid to find out who he really is.

A crazy yet amazing story!

It was insane. The amount of twists and turns the story took. I can’t imagine what it would be like to not know who you are.

Historia
From the excesses of the late 19th-century Gilded Age, through the horrors of World War I, to the transformations of the Roaring 20s that gave birth to her magisterial Etiquette, Emily Post unfailingly took the measure of her era. A Baltimore blue blood with a populist heart, she helped the masses live the American dream with her hugely popular book, which has been continuously in print for over 85 years.

This book captivated my attention.
Revisado: 06-20-13
What about Christine Williams’s performance did you like?
I never tired of her voice. Christine did an awesome job. She could speak the French words and phrases like a native.
Was there a moment in the book that particularly moved you?
The movie "Gatsby" began to spark my interest in the Gilded Age so I find Emily's life and experiences fascinating.
Any additional comments?
I wish Audible's inventory included books authored by Emily Post.

Historia
French women don't get fat, but they do eat bread and pastry, drink wine, and regularly enjoy three-course meals. In her delightful tale, Mireille Guiliano unlocks the simple secrets of this "French paradox", how to enjoy food and stay slim and healthy. Hers is a charming, sensible, and powerfully life-affirming view of health and eating for our times.

Enjoyable Audio
Revisado: 07-02-12
What made the experience of listening to French Women Don't Get Fat the most enjoyable?
I watch my weight carefully and found the French women's approach to be more self control over diet rather than more exercise in order to eat.
Any additional comments?
Throwing in a few French phrases makes it appealing for one who is trying to learn French as myself.

Historia
In his landmark best seller The Tipping Point, Malcolm Gladwell redefined how we understand the world around us. Now, in Blink, he revolutionizes the way we understand the world within. Blink is a book about how we think without thinking, about choices that seem to be made in an instant, in the blink of an eye, that actually aren't as simple as they seem. Why are some people brilliant decision makers, while others are consistently inept?

Another good Malcolm Gladwell book

Would you recommend this audiobook to a friend? If so, why?
I have enjoyed Gladwell's Outliers, The Tipping Point, and now Blink, but I'll have to say the Blink comes in number 3. Some of his examples in Blink lost me, however, there is always new, practical information to learn from each book and I find all his books easy to follow, informative, and applicable.
