Historia
Some lines should never be crossed. Police corruption, an investigation that ends in tragedy and the mystery of a little girl’s silence – three unconnected events that will prove to be linked by one small town. While detective Cormac Reilly faces enemies at work and trouble in his personal life, garda Peter Fisher is relocated out of Galway with the threat of prosecution hanging over his head. But even that is not as terrible as having to work for his overbearing father, the local copper for the pretty seaside town of Roundstone.

Great story with great narration
Revisado: 09-09-24
The story was great, i am loving this series of books with their well woven plots and complex, believable characters. The narrator is great. Her range of character voices is superb and is a joy to listen to.

Historia
When a troubled young man named Billy asks Cormoran Strike to help him investigate a crime he witnessed as a child, the private eye is left deeply troubled. While Billy is obviously mentally distressed and cannot remember many concrete details, there is something sincere about him and his story. A fantastic novel with plenty of twists and turns. I hate Matthew, no wonder really. Just a pompous jerk.

Historia
In the village of Liver-and-Onions, there was a Potato Face Blind Man who used to play an accordion on the corner near the post office. The sometime narrator of these tales, he transports readers and listeners to Rootabaga Country, where the railroad tracks go from straight to zigzag, the pigs wear bibs, and the Village of Cream Puffs floats in the wind, looking like a little hat that you could wear on the end of your thumb. Carl Sandburg, the beloved folk chronicler and three-time Pulitzer Prize winner, invented these stories for his own daughters.

Great children's storybook
Revisado: 08-08-20
This is a great storybook for youngsters. The stories are imaginative, well written and well narrated. Our grandchildren love the stories and the book is written so that it is in easy to pause for bedtime reading, to be continued at their next bedtime.
The narrator is a fine choice to keep the children involved. Her voice is clear and easy to understand and she adds great "color" to the tales.
This book is a perfect choice to add to your child's library. I think they will want to listen to it time and again.

What a life story
Revisado: 06-14-20
Sometimes it is hard to believe that this is a biography. It brings to mind the horrors that people have survived and makes one humble to think we owe so much to such unassuming heroes. Also it is a reminder of how easy it is to slip into the horrors of the types of regimes described and how herculean the efforts are needed to rid oneself of them.
