Historia
Brian can think of a few places he'd rather spend his summer than with his aunt and uncle in Boring, Illinois. Jail, for example. Or an earplug factory. Anything would be better than doing summer school on a computer while his scientist dad is stationed at the South Pole. Boring lives up to its name until Brian and his cousin Nora have a fight, get lost, and discover a huge wooden house in the forest.

My 11 year old loved it!
Revisado: 06-06-17
What made the experience of listening to The Matchstick Castle the most enjoyable?
I'm writing this review for my 11 year old. He loved it and it's like pulling teeth getting him to read.
What was one of the most memorable moments of The Matchstick Castle?
For my son it was the castle itself. This author came to his school, and said one one inspirtion was The Winchester Mystery house, which we just visited.

Historia
Disturbing, humorous, and compassionate, Cat’s Eye is the story of Elaine Risley, a controversial painter who returns to Toronto, the city of her youth, for a retrospective of her art. Engulfed by vivid images of the past, she reminisces about a trio of girls who initiated her into the the fierce politics of childhood and its secret world of friendship, longing, and betrayal.

Would you try another book from Margaret Atwood and/or Kimberly Farr?
Yes
What could Margaret Atwood have done to make this a more enjoyable book for you?
She should have shortened the book to only include her childhood, instead of 70+ chapters of boring middle aged life where nothing happens of major interest.
What does Kimberly Farr bring to the story that you wouldn’t experience if you just read the book?
Not sure
What reaction did this book spark in you? Anger, sadness, disappointment?
Disappointment
