Even Better than 1.0!!
Revisado: 12-13-24
Introduction of a nefarious artificial intelligence was creative and probably a cautionary tale. The reading by the narrator was outstanding! His various voices brought this book to life. It is a perfect follow up to the first installment! Here’s hoping for a 3.0

Don’t listen to the Critics!! A+ experience!
Revisado: 01-07-23
If you like the Gray Man series - you will love this. I hope “Duff” gets more books and adventures. This story was easy to follow in the multi-cast model, but it was not a simple story. The adventure had twists and turns, redemption, likable characters, and poetic justice. A strong portrayal of marriage and parenthood to boot! Enjoy the ride!

Historia
In Made to Stick, Chip and Dan Heath reveal the anatomy of ideas that stick and explain ways to make ideas stickier, such as applying the human scale principle, using the Velcro Theory of Memory, and creating curiosity gaps. Along the way, we discover that sticky messages of all kinds—from the infamous “kidney theft ring” hoax to a coach’s lessons on sportsmanship to a vision for a new product at Sony—draw their power from the same six traits.

Don’t Listen to the Critics!
Revisado: 03-23-21
I delayed buying this audio book because of negative reviews about the book being written from the 1st person perspective. Is it a different feel? Sure. But you get used to it quickly and it is FINE! The plot line, subject matter, and pace of the book are one of the best in this series. So don’t listen to the so-called critics. If you like the Gray Man, you will love this book!!

Historia
For more than 1,000 years, Christians and Muslims lived side by side, sometimes at peace and sometimes at war. When Christian armies seized Jerusalem in 1099, they began the most notorious period of conflict between the two religions. Depending on who you ask, the fall of the holy city was either an inspiring legend or the greatest of horrors. In Crusaders, Dan Jones interrogates the many sides of the larger story, charting a deeply human and avowedly pluralist path through the crusading era.

Monumental Work - Crusaders
Revisado: 02-12-20
I came into this book with practically no knowledge of this era of history. When I finished, I felt overwhelmed with what I learned and the implications that continue to this day. Dan Jones leads the reader through a complicated maze of dates, kings, places, religious views, and politics like a skillful tour guide. It left me wanting to learn more.

Just Right!!!
Revisado: 05-13-19
For me, this was the perfect introduction. The story was gripping. The audio performance, which had difference voices, was outstanding. There was a good mix of story/explanation, journal quotes, and commentary. I am actually going to listen through it again. I read most reviews on other L&C audio books, and this was just the right length and level of detail I was looking for.

Poetic & Powerful
Revisado: 10-22-18
One girl’s unique story of living in a public library is told in a poetic and captivating manner. Never dragging or preachy, the listener will engage with themes of hard work, family, religion, racism, love and change. So much is packed into this short but beautiful narrative.
