Osten Ard Family faces New Threats
Revisado: 02-28-25
So enjoy this series as we continue with Simon and his buddies and new family members as they face new threats to the Peace. Lots of weaving the new players into the fabric of this tale. Such a wonderful story. So happy I read Brothers of the Wind before MST.

Loved the pace, the heartwarming story, the humorous characters and the serious ones too. This got me out of the funk I felt reading Oathbringer which was complicated and too long

Historia
The galaxy remembers Hadrian Marlowe as a hero: the man who burned every last alien Cielcin from the sky. They remember him as a monster: the devil who destroyed a sun, casually annihilating four billion human lives - even the emperor himself - against Imperial orders. But Hadrian was not a hero. He was not a monster. He was not even a soldier. Fleeing his father and a future as a torturer, Hadrian finds himself stranded on a strange, backwater world.

Excellent narrator, like the plot, care for the characters, several villains, coming of age, entitled to poor, finding friendship, aliens. Now to read about Crispin. See if he grows too!

Historia
Cahan du Nahare is known as the forester—a man who can navigate the dangerous Deepforest like no one else. But once he was more. Once he belonged to the god of fire. Udinny serves the goddess of the lost, a goddess of small things; when she ventures into the Deepforest to find a lost child, Cahan will be her guide. But in a land where territory is won and lost for uncaring gods, where temples of warrior monks pit one prophet against another—Cahan will need to choose the forest or the fire—and his choice will have consequences for his entire world.

4.5⭐️ interesting and creative Story! Awesome!
Revisado: 01-13-24
4.5⭐️….great story, quite creative. So much worldbuilding…it’s a different environment both inside and outside the forest. Plots all come together in the end. A couple of the characters were pains, whining too much, want to grab them and tell them to just grow up! The bad guys were really well done, kinda spooky too. The Forest has the BEST characters many of which are animal like but with a twist. I sure hope there will be a book 2 as the epilogue hints at more angst in this world. There is a fake avenger and a real avenger who must come to heads.
I bought the hard cover and the audible version because I really like this story. Highly recommend.

Wish the next book was ready as I’m really excited to see how the cliffhanger concludes.. All the characters are ready for War or battle or freedom. Several characters I want to see get flattened!!!
Perfect pairing with book one.

Historia
Meet Toadling. On the day of her birth, she was stolen from her family by the fairies, but she grew up safe and loved in the warm waters of faerieland. Once an adult though, the fae ask a favor of Toadling: return to the human world and offer a blessing of protection to a newborn child. Simple, right? If only. Centuries later, a knight approaches a towering wall of brambles, where the thorns are as thick as your arm and as sharp as swords. He's heard there's a curse here that needs breaking, but it's a curse Toadling will do anything to uphold.

Perfect Narrator, Wrenching Battles, 5 stars
Revisado: 09-21-23
EXCELLENT NARRATOR, and as the author said "I've slept about as much as an Elf" while writing this. Same goes for reading and listening this book....I too have slept as much as an Elf. its a page turner. Emotionally invested in the characters, wolves, dragon and a couple of different "animals" that aid our crew. Many battles are edge of your seat emotionally. I look forward to Book 4....Of Empires and Dust. 5 stars

The Fall Novella is included at the end
Revisado: 09-08-23
I love this series so far....and THE FALL novella is included at the end of the narration. You will fall in love with the characters, the dragons, the families, the magic, and the story. Ready to read all 5 now!
Regarding The Fall novella included at the end of book one:
OMG!!!! The Fall is So good! What a moving story, beautifully written, betrayal by loved ones, gut wrenching hurt by this betrayal, makes one think, read this after book one, explains so much that I wanted to know, die well, live better, rakeena (Broken) not all have the strength to become “broken”… I pray you never understand why I have no choice , some lose too much. imagine this happening to you. What a great novella. 5⭐️
