Historia
We all keep secrets. 97 per cent of us are hiding a secret right now, and on average we each hold thirteen at any one time. They are the stuff of gossip, of novels and of classic dramas; secrets form a major part of our hidden inner lives. Podcaster Andrew Gold knows this better than anyone. A public persona, he found himself the (unwitting) recipient of hundreds of strangers' most private revelations. This set him on a journey to understand this critical part of our societies and lives. Why do we keep secrets? Why are we fascinated by those of others? What happens to our mind when we confess?

A fascinating look into the history of secrecy from ancient times to modern society.

There were some squeamish moments with the blood and gush of rupshering eyeballs. And my own queasyness at knowing and holding onto others' secrets. Wanting to know more even though it made me uncomfortable.

A superb storyteller!
Revisado: 10-10-22
This 91-year-old seems to have the fountain of youth in his back pocket. With the wonderment of a child who eagerly soaks up the excitement of all new experiences that come his way. I absolutely enjoyed hearing Mr shatner recount his life's experiences and it seems to be obvious that his attitude toward life is what is keeping him from getting old and free from ailment.
I wish he didn't have such a fear of death though. The subject matter at this point has been so thoroughly investigated and is so popular a topic that I don't understand why he doesn't delve into it and pick out the common denominators from stories about the afterlife that have started from years ago up till this point. Really death is a part of life. I remember telling this to my dad who was dying from emphysema and toward the end of his life got scared and questioned his faith and asked me what if it was all wrong what if there's nothing there. I told him everything dies, it has been happening since the dawn of man and before and there is a system in place. Life continues in another realm and love keeps the connection between you and your loved ones. I watched my dad just before he passed. He was in connection with something and his fear left him.

Historia
Hillary Clinton is running for president as an "advocate of women and girls", but there is another shocking side to her story that has been carefully covered up - until now. This stunning exposé reveals for the first time how Bill and Hillary Clinton systematically abused women and others - sexually, physically, and psychologically - in their scramble for power and wealth.

Endless sleez. Enough already I got the message. These 2 need to be in jail. The fact that they were at the top of the political food chain and got away with all that says that our political system is so corrupt it stinks.

...And What Do You Do? is a hard-hitting analysis of the royal family, exposing its extravagant use of public money and the highly dubious behaviour of some among its ranks, whilst being critical of the knee-jerk sycophancy shown by the press and politicians. Baker also considers the wider role the royals play in society, including the link with House of Lords reform, and the constitutional position of the monarch, which is important given Prince Charles’ present and intended approach.

Wow! Facinating!
Revisado: 12-03-20
As an American, the Royals have always held a keen interest of mine both of their past and the present family. The amount of research that went into this book is astounding. Lots of history
so much so that I did skip ahead a bit and that is why I gave 4 stars for the overall rating.
This monarchy cannot survive much longer as it is completely out dated and the country needs to be run by qualified leaders that are CHOSEN by its people.
I cannot understand why the country continues to allow it's taxpayers money to indulge every whim and fancy imaginable to these spoiled and presumptuous people who are living in an arcaic society. Although they have plenty of money they seem to insist on not using any of it, but rather have everything paid for by the tax payers. Exceptions are few.
Although the history is most interesting here, I found this book it's most entertaining and enlighting when references are made to the present day Royal Family.
Most of the secrets of how these people live have been stripped open . This a must read.

Very interesting, informative and entertaining. Loved the first hand account of his childhood at the Japanese internment camps. George is a very intelligent and diverse and talented man. And of course the Star
Trek saga at its beginning. Only wish the story was longer, I wasn't ready for it to end.

"I’m James Taylor and I’m a professional autobiographer", says the celebrated folk singer at the start of this tender audio memoir. Through decades of music by one of the best-selling musicians of all time, who created classics like "Fire and Rain" and "Carolina in My Mind", James Taylor has doled out his history in the poetry of his work. Taylor says his early life is, "the source of many of my songs", and Break Shot is a tour of his first 21 years in rich, new detail.

I found James' story very very interesting indeed.
From all of the artists that he knew back then that helped his career move forward, to the places where he lived and of course his dysfunction family and their inherited addictiveness for drugs.
James's first 21 years, though went by way too fast and left me disappointed that this story ended so quickly.

Historia
After mulling over the lessons he's learned, the places he's been, and all the miracles and strange occurrences he's witnessed, he arrived at one simple rule for living a long and good life: don't die. It's the only one-size-fits-all advice, William Shatner argues in Live Long and..: What I Learned Along the Way, because everyone has a unique life - but, to help us all out, he's more than willing to share stories from his unique life. With a combination of pithy humor and thoughtful vulnerability, Shatner lays out his journey from childhood to peak stardom.

Passion, Good Fortune and Fear.
Revisado: 03-09-20
Wow, this man's passion for life is filled to the brim and all but spilling over.
Shatner has a 'yes I'll do it' answer for nearly every opportunity offered him - and not think about the consequences till he is in the thick of the event. This is partly out of his need to keep earning money (in the beginning,) and hoping that this open door will lead to another great adventure. It is amazing to me that he is around to talk about these things. He has been very fortunate and has experienced much highs and the lowest of lows and everything in between.
As this is an audiobook, Mr Shatner's voice and style were a pleasure to listen to. Like we are in the room together for a good talk about life. I absolutely loved hearing his stories, his experiences. Never, ever boring either.
One thing I found puzzling however is his absolute fear of death. I would have thought that he would have taken the attitude that The Inevitable Trip would be one big curious adventure into the unknown. He has such a zest for life and he thinks it's all going to stop. I think he will have the time of his life when he gets over there.
