Historia
The story of how The Godfather was made is as dramatic, operatic, and entertaining as the film itself. Over the years, many versions of various aspects of the movie’s fiery creation have been told - sometimes conflicting, but always compelling. Mark Seal sifts through the evidence, has extensive new conversations with director Francis Ford Coppola and several heretofore silent sources, and complements them with colorful interviews with key players including actors Al Pacino, James Caan, Talia Shire, and others.

The best book on The Godfather
Revisado: 10-03-23
This is an incredible book. I couldn’t stop listening to it. I didn’t want it to end. It is the definitive story of the making of The Godfather movie. If you are a fan of the film, this is a must read. One of my favorite audiobooks I have listened to in years. It had me on the edge of my seat one moment, and laughing out loud the next. Highly recommended.

A fun and exciting ride.
Revisado: 10-04-19
I’m not big on fiction. I like biographies and non fiction but Blood Money had me from chapter one. I loved the writing and all the characters were so specific and compelling. But what brought this book to life was the outstanding performance of Tim Dekay. This reader is truly amazing. There is a fine line when you read a book in my opinion— you can flatline or go over the top in a way that draws attention to the reader and you lose the story. NOT IN THIS CASE. Mr. Dekay found the perfect balance that draws you in and never lets you go. His read never gets in the way or takes you out of the story. Can’t wait for Book 2

Exquisite Telling of a Phenomenal True Story
Revisado: 09-25-17
I became fascinated with the story of RF Scott and the Terra Nova upon seeing Terrance McNally’s play of the same name. Was delighted to find and devour the hardcover of The Worst Journey in the World many years ago.
Thrilled to find it read to perfection here. The narrator seems to channel each voice from beyond.
An age of heroism gone by. Stunning. Great listen!

Not well written and narrated poorly
Revisado: 07-13-15
The performance of Dan Orders and whomever produced it was horrible. No one seemed to go back and edit mistakes. There were more than a couple of times that the narrator had some false starts and no one caught them to cut them out. Plus his read was nothing short of amateurish. His read really got on my nerves.
