Struggling to get through the book

Oh my gosh I am so fed up with Avalon! How much angst, anger and bitching can one person have/do? No character development. Just continues to be a bitc* to everyone. Her whole attitude gets very tiring after a while. With all that she’s been through she should be maturing but doesn’t. It’s good to be tough but she is her own worse enemy! She goes backwards while Dean goes forward. I have this on 1.5 speed trying to get through it. Not sure if I’ll finish it. I’m at the point where I don’t give a f*** about the story anymore.

Whole series was food

The whole series was good. I feel like there should have been more at the end or least another book down the line with a life update

Changing the voice/narrator on the last book was an awful decision! It was hard to get into the last book with the new narrator. I’m sure the narrator’s voice is good when starting from the beginning but to change it on the last book was an awful decision. Didn’t feel like the same characters.

It's taking me forever to get through this.

These books (I got the whole series), would have been better if they were read by a male and female narrator. I often got lost on who was talking in the book. The woman's voice was just ok. It was kind of fast but monotonous as the same time. And her internal dialogue got very tiring, very quickly. I listen to this when I don't have another one to listen to. It doesn't compel me to keep listening like other books have.

Voice actors were good

I liked the female voice actor. She did very well. My problem was with the story itself, though a good one this writer used so many words! So many that I was listening, but not listening at the same time. She would go on and on and on. I can’t even listen to the next two after this because I’m afraid they’ll just be full of so much of nothing so many words that didn’t need to be there. I feel like I suffered through the book just to get through it.

Not a bad story

The story was entertaining enough. It did keep me engaged. The only thing that was so bad about it was the Brooklyn accent. It grated on my nerves like fingernails on a chalkboard. It sounded that bad. Other than that, the voice actors were very good.

Riveting and fact-based reporting

I find myself utterly speechless every time I delve into JK's books or others that echo similar sentiments. It's baffling how our once-strong republic has descended to its current state. The resurgence of DJT's influence, tarnishing the reputation of the United States globally, leaves me incredulous. What perplexes me even more is the unwavering support he receives from within the Republican Party.

I've reached a conclusion regarding these Republican politicians who either remain silent or endorse DJT's actions: their fear of alienating their voter base compels them to be spineless. They opt for cowardice rather than risk displeasing their revered leader. They are equally accountable for the challenges we confront today, yet they eagerly vie to curry favor with the individual solely responsible for the continued harm and embarrassment to our republic.

Excellent Narration

Narrator was excellent and fascinating book. Highly recommend however like with other books on Trump, you’ll shake your head from the lack of character he possesses.
