Historia
Part memoir, part comedy routine, part advice manual, Challenge Accepted! is Celeste at her best, revealing her secrets to love, friendship, family, and marriage (oh hai, #hothusband), and how to deal with life’s many challenges - why she checks the bath for sharks, how Nutella quite literally shaped who she is as a woman, and why being famous on Instagram is like being rich in Monopoly. It’s real, like totally, really real.

So glad this was read by Celeste! I’ve always loved how real she is online when everything else is so fake. It was nice to hear more of her story & life growing up. Thanks for sharing!

Historia
Have you ever felt stuck in a cycle of unresolved pain, playing offenses over and over in your mind? You know you can't go on like this, but you don't know what to do next. Lysa TerKeurst has wrestled through this journey. But in surprising ways, she’s discovered how to let go of bound-up resentment and overcome the resistance to forgiving people who aren’t willing to make things right. With deep empathy, therapeutic insight, and rich Bible teaching coming out of more than 1,000 hours of theological study, Lysa will help you stop suffering because of what other people have done to you.

Nope. Just no.
Revisado: 12-04-23
I only made it 17 minutes in before I couldn’t listen to this any more. If you’re looking for a sermon and the authors interpretation of the Bible along with a sappy whiny narration then this is the book for you. As for me, not so much.

Historia
It was one of the most searing images of the twentieth century: two young boys, two princes, walking behind their mother’s coffin as the world watched in sorrow—and horror. As Princess Diana was laid to rest, billions wondered what Prince William and Prince Harry must be thinking and feeling—and how their lives would play out from that point on.

Refreshing
Revisado: 03-06-23
I found it refreshing to hear pure honesty and humility from a royal, let alone one of the highest ranking. I chose to listen to this book simply because we don’t all believe and buy into the medias narratives. I’ve always believed Harry & Meghan to be more genuine than other royals, but now I feel sympathy and love toward them. I pray that they get to live the life of their own choosing, with peace.

Historia
Fumio Sasaki is not an enlightened minimalism expert or organizing guru like Marie Kondo - he's just a regular guy who was stressed out and constantly comparing himself to others, until one day he decided to change his life by saying goodbye to everything he didn't absolutely need. The effects were remarkable: Sasaki gained true freedom, new focus, and a real sense of gratitude for everything around him.

Enjoyable but repetitive
Revisado: 02-08-19
I really enjoyed this book, but it's just extremely repetitive. Half way through I kept checking to make sure I hadn't accidentally restarted it, then again a while later. The recap at the end is nice though.
