Lou Campbell's narration punctuates this tale of tails, tales, ceremonies, and mysteries. Diane Wing's storytelling is extraordinary as she weaves the situations of a soon-to-be bride and groom, friends and relatives who are alive or deceased, furry family members, and business complications.
The author's stories resonate with many readers because they are shaped from life -- the practical, complicated, sad, mysterious, spiritual and ideal components from the lives of many of us.
I join my words with those of others: may Diane Wing continue to write volumes in this series.

This beautifully created story is enhanced by lively, well-modulated narration. The intellectual retelling of the familiar tale begins with a centuries-old manuscript that is discovered by a scholar, and fascinating revelations unfold.
Highest possible recommendation!

Peggy Kopman-Owens has done it again! Her extraordinary character and plot developments are described in Steve Ember's narration -- which is a true treat for the ears!
Kopman-Owens takes a conventional plot of people going missing -- and at least one dying -- during transportation -- in this case, by plane, and infuses interest into it by describing diverse, flawed characters and situations that give the story verisimilitude. Highest praise!

Peggy Kopman-Owens has the gift of insight into people's souls, which make her books profoundly relatable, as well as enjoyable. The environment of Paris pervades *A Jazz Club*, as a mystery regarding the missing Louis Bertrand, the partner of the redoubtable Mrs Duchesney, unravels.

Robert G.C. Jackson's superb production and narration enhance the listener's enjoyment and comprehension of the story to its own 5-star value. The combination of a well-developed plot, and the dulcet tones and character interpretations in Jackson's voice, combine to make this audio experience immensely enjoyable.

As a teenager, I enjoyed reading Agatha Christie's short stories. These fifty Poirot stories -- short stories and novellas -- provide many hours of entertainment by the master of method and order whose "little grey cells" make sense out of improbable situations. Truly worthwhile for Hercule Poirot fans.

Peggy Kopman-Owens outdoes herself in this complex mystery-thriller. Paris sleuth Louie Bertrand and his partner/mentor/employer Mrs. Duchesney begin by dealing with apparently mundane financial and social situations, then, before they can say c'est la vie, become embroiled in a love-and-conflicy situation from World War II, intrigue in the forms of a person from Moscow, a Parisian widow, a coded note sent to Mrs. Duchesney, and, overall, enough character ambivalence and multiple revelations to sustain the interest of the most sophisticated of mystery and history fans.

Evie Irwin's narration adds immeasurably to augment the value of the audiobook, as vocally she weaves the emotions of the characters. The book is thoroughly enjoyable, and some of its five-star credit definitely belongs to Evie!

Somewhat reminiscent of Shoeless Joe in its theme of redemption through conflict resolution -- helped along by spiritual understanding, humor, and, ultimately, love, the story centers on three people -- one an internationally known film actor, who is plagued by contract disputes as well as a vengeful, almost ex-wife; another, a lonely divorcee -- who find the obscure town apparently accidentally, to be befriended and guided by Eileen, a woman with "a special talent."

The townsfolk in the fishing village -- itself a Biblical metaphor for seeking -- and a cat named Myra (at least, Myra is one of her names!), provide enjoyable examples of beings who know how to be content. As the two new arrivals adjust to the ways of the village, they find that the environment that they at first considered eccentric provides them with more answers than they could have anticipated.

Peggy Kopman-Owens takes a turn to the dark side in The Mist of Montmartre. Laura is a woman from “the other side of the Seine.” A kind-hearted artist who takes odd jobs to support herself and her friends, she goes from just about making the rent, to a billionaire's lifestyle when she marries Etienne, who has inherited a business of multi-national interests.

The book takes on a Rebecca-like turn. After several years of marriage, Laura feels that her life has been subsumed by her husband, that the household staff are spying on her, that their loyalties are with Etienne and his deceased first wife. Faced with a crisis, Laura seeks comfort from the family’s dentist and her psychiatrist. Passions flare, and vulnerable Laura becomes the prize in a gambit of men’s desire for sex, power, and dominance.

Kopman-Owens weaves disparate threads together skillfully. *Mist* is a departure from her lighter-hearted fare, but she handles the challenges of the plot well — creating a tense and believable story.

Steve Ember’s smooth narration is enjoyable. His performance enhances the story.

I am a professional book reviewer who is not easily impressed, but I loved *Francesca's Story*. The story is told mostly in flashbacks. The female protagonist undergoes so many setbacks during the first two-thirds of the story that she would be pitiable, were it not for the fact that she is strong and able to assess her situations in fairly detached ways. By this device, the story sustains its humor and entertainment.
