So much fun to see how everyone has grown and that Kate has so come in to her Adult self that she would have never done without Erra being more than just her aunt she taught and loved Kate so that we are getting these wonderful stories from the Amazing House Andrews! Obviously a member of the BDH I am so excited and can't wait for book 3!

Its fun to have the voice for Curran and Kate splitting the chapters so they read the ones about themselves.

Patricia Briggs writes great believable worlds and characters you want to be friends with! Lorelei King reads many of the series I follow and does it fantastically. can't wait for the next Audible books!

So Much FUN!

I do miss the few parts they cut out of the story. However I understand why they do it. Sometimes it's because the sound is there or it isn't needed in voice where it is in print. Love the Kate books and the regular Audible readings with Renée Raudman she does voices wonderfully but these full cast readings are exactly what they claim..... A Movie In Your Mind! So much Awesomeness I can't wait for the next and I'll have to re-listen to the Audible series as I do a series reread to wait until the next GA is out. roflmao who knows how many re-reads this will make but it's still fun!

Fun BUT.......

I enjoy this version, wish they didn't have odd music at odd times! The original version by Renee Raudman is great I love that I can have the book verbatim. They didn't seem to edit much out of this like they do with the Lupi series by Eileen Wilks (I had to stop listening because it made me confused with all they skipped.) The voices are all well done sometimes it seemed like there wasn't really any feeling behind the words which is odd like when Kate thinks she's going to die at the cave in. The Raudman version brought tears to my eyes this didn't seem to a big thing here. And as I said they'd play music that really didn't work or even make sense to what was happening like after the phone call and she goes to find the punching bag it just pulled my attention. Could be I'll enjoy the next book better, we'll see. And if not I can always go play the Raid man version if I don't. However I did enjoy the whole different people playing the roles so we'll see love anything House Andrews does so this is a fun stop until more Innkeepers lol!

Disappointed

Really wish Ms Wilks would just go the regular Audio Reader for her books instead of this. All the sound effects and the panting and moaning are just ridiculous and really makes the story silly. Not to mention that unlike other audio books you can switch between reading and listening, on these you can't because they don't do the entire book as its written! They remove sections, sometimes shift their locations in the story sometimes its omitted completely. I guess some things they remove streamlines the story but you miss out on some important and interesting characters.

Entertaining!

Ok first off this story doesn't take itself too seriously. It's a feel good romp through an Irish immigrant family with their foibles and love for each other and the idea to just accept everyone and everything for who and what they are with no judgement would make everyone and everything happy.
Reader did a great job with odd Gaelic words and some strange Canadian turns of phrase.
All in all an enjoyable read or "listen" and nothing too heavy to bring you down.
This is a paranormal action story NOT a paranormal romance so don't get this and expect love to be in the air because it's not! Just an all around romping good beat down to the bad guys 😀

Third Strike and I'm done with Caitlin Davies

P.C. Cast is amazing with the things she pulls from her imagination! However for some reason they've settled on Caitlin Davies as the reader for her stories and honestly this is the last Series of Audible books I buy with her as the narrator. Her little girl voice is fine for the younger girls she portrayed but she has almost no inflection and barely ever changes her tone even for the male characters. My suggestion read it for yourself, you'll enjoy it more and probably buy the other books in the series, if you listen you may not even finish this book and that would be a shame.
Listen to the sample. That is literally how she sounds the entire book. If you like it great, unfortunately her voice rubbed my nerves raw quickly.
Honestly she's improved a little bit and has more inflection but still very little change in male voices and the little girl voice just doesn't work for the content.
If PC Cast ever releases book 4 I'll probably read it but won't bother with the Audible book. This is a fairly long travel book where not much happens and then oh the last 5 pages are great and then The End for now!? Not cool!!
Side note: make sure you go to Casts page she has an Afterward that is AWESOME!! You get to see what happens when our PACK makes it down and starts to interact with the Riders. Made the extreme wait more bearable between books.

Narrator hasn't really improved from first book.

Audible version HORRIBLE because of sound trouble Rating about version NOT story.

I truly enjoyed the book. However something happened to the narrator's microphone and you can hear every breath she takes as a gasp and because she reads with a strong voice it's extremely distracting! It's actually enough to bring you out of the story. Hopefully they fix it because I enjoy rereading Mrs Briggs books. If they are able correct the problem this is a 5* book.
