Some good concepts and tips for self improvement. The content was enjoyable, although didn't bring many new ideas to the table. Will practice some of the teachings. Narration okay.

The book is much better than the movie. I found the movie was aimed at a younger audience and fell short on character development. Wil did a great job on the narration. The world building might feel tedious to any readers/listeners who aren't interested in gaming. As with any fantasy or scifi book expect to hear about the rules and mechanics. The story itself was fun, original, and satisfying. Looking forward to the sequel, hope it can capture the same magic.

Once every year, Scoutmaster Tim Riggs leads a troop of boys into the Canadian wilderness for a weekend camping trip - a tradition as comforting and reliable as a good ghost story around a roaring bonfre. The boys are a tight-knit crew. There’s Kent, one of the most popular kids in school; Ephraim and Max, also well-liked and easygoing; then there’s Newt the nerd and Shelley the odd duck. For the most part, they all get along and are happy to be there - which makes Scoutmaster Tim’s job a little easier.

The Troop was a well paced and thrilling tale. The narrator did a great job with suspense delivery. I couldn't imagine anyone else portraying the antagonist. I would categorize as a mystery/horror with survival elements. It's the type of book that influences your next read.
