Historia
Only six weeks have passed since a super-EMP attack devastated the United States, but already, life has changed dramatically. Most of America has become a wasteland filled with starving bands of people, mobs and gangs. Millions are dead and millions more are suffering, with no end in sight. For Gordon, Samantha, Sebastian, Cruz, and Barone, the turmoil and chaos they dealt with in the early weeks after the attack will seem trivial in comparison to the collapse of society that plays out before their eyes.

I have a big problem with this book only
Revisado: 10-08-15
As a father this book hit a bad cord with me. It may be a good thing for you. I think it means you care about the characters. I don't won't to ruin the book but as a father I wish I had not read this book. I give it five stars because my problem with it is mine only. It is a great book besides that.

Historia
Forced into exile while his friends strive to clear his name, Bishop and his family encounter the best and worst mankind has to offer while they travel the badlands. The human animal is trying to regroup, striving to fill the vacuum in leadership left after the collapse and form productive societies. But it's not easy. The lack of basic necessities has weakened the resolve of many, allowing age-old tendencies to cloud the minds of men. Those that do step up and take the helm of governance may have alternative motives and hidden agendas.

This is an AUDIO review.
Revisado: 09-24-15
As with the others in the series, I have enjoyed the story. But the audio narration leaves much to be desired. First the narrator changes from book to book. Some narrations try to include sound effects which hurts the story because of the poor attempt. Multiple books use two narrators that in my own opinion are far too old to be doing the story. The first book, as I wrote in my review made it sound like The story was taking place at a seniors center. It's hard to believe that Terry could be having a child when she sounds like she's in her 50s or 60s. Two of the books so far have tried to insert sound effects, these attempts fell short.

Historia
In a night of devastating terror, ISIS operatives have unleashed a coordinated attack on America's infrastructure. With thousands of trapped travelers and scarce law enforcement, the miles between Jim Powell and his family become a brutal gauntlet where the rules of civilized society no longer apply. As Jim puts his years of preparation and planning to the test, he is forced to ask himself if he has what it takes to make it home. Does he have the strength - the brutality - required to meet this new world toe-to-toe?

Audio Narration review.
Revisado: 08-14-15
Being self employed with two young ones, finding time to read is difficult. This review is about the audible version. The narrator keep an even pace. I only say this because a book called Slow Burn. The narration was way to fast in pace. Just horrible. This book was paced nicely. You were able to get into the moment. He spaced nicely between lines and was able to separate the characters perfectly.
