Following the devastating attack on Yaresh, its people are left to pick up the pieces. The city lies in ruins, but its decimated defenders have more to deal with than just reconstruction. Jason's actions during the battle have brought unwelcome attention from allies and enemies alike. While the adventurers question his loyalty, the messengers question his very nature. Both have designs on Jason that he intends to thwart, but a danger comes to light that shifts everyone's agenda.

Agreed, not worth it. Money grab.
Revisado: 12-18-23
There is a lot of filler talking. I also wished they would go away from the woke stuff, but they decided to add more this time. That is the biggest turn off for me. I'm interested in the story and the fantasy. I'm not interested in the author's agenda.
I like the jokes and everything but this one was a bit tougher due to all the talking with no monster fighting.

Historia
Unchained from fate, the Norse gods Loki and Hel are ready to unleash Ragnarok, a.k.a. the Apocalypse, upon the earth. They’ve made allies on the darker side of many pantheons, and there’s a globe-spanning battle brewing that ancient Druid Atticus O’Sullivan will be hardpressed to survive, much less win.

I Hate Book 9
Revisado: 10-24-23
Man do I hate book 9. I really enjoy this series and I love Luke Daniels reading it. However, this book falls all apart. The hero of the series crashes and burns. The writer's personal biases about men being weak and women being so much better than men really bleeds through and changes the character of the hero. The hero from book 7 would never have ended up the way this book made him end. I didn't recognize it then, but now I see it as wokeness. I want the hero to win and overcome odds to some how pull out the victory. No one wants to see him lose just to push the agenda of how men should be cudgled into the idea that they aren't as good as women, just to prove that women are equals.
The whole idea of global warming is annoying and something I don't agree with (in the way that the movement professes), but it's understandable in the context of them being druids. But the whole turn of Granuell is way over the top. It's really off putting.
Kevin Hern really takes advantage of the reader. He uses the fact that readers got this far and want closure... then pulls the carpet and inserts his crappy ideology.
Listen to this until the final battle is almost over... the drop the book.

Woke Garbage!
Revisado: 08-01-23
I wish I never bought this trash! What a change from the first book. It's terrible. Full of gender ideology, lies about the environment and population, stupid rhetoric filled extreme leftist talking points, and an over the top abundance of importance placed on sex. This is a horrible book. I only got a few hours in and couldn't stomach any more.

Over The Top - Woke
Revisado: 06-21-23
Read this book if you're into gender ideology, fake feminism, and sexualization of everyone. The author goes out of his way to "prove" he's woke, and the reader has to deal with it being thrown in their faces at every turn. The story has become predictable and you can tell Stewart isn't writing to tell a tale but just to remain relevant. He is grasping at woke straws at this point. I completely regret buying all of these books before reading them. The first few were good. Then he went off the rails and it got worse and worse. It's a shame.
It's like half of the reader's focus has something to do with sex. I'm not sure why Stewart is doing that but he has definitely picked a side. I'll never buy one of his books again. I can't bring myself to support a writer that writes this way. What a joke and waste of time. I'm going to request a refund.

Historia
When the Royal Martian Navy moved against reports of piracy in the Fringe Systems, the last thing Mage-Commander Roslyn Chambers expected was to find was a malignant remnant of the defeated Republic of Faith and Reason. Now the Royal Martian Navy knows their enemy and their Mage-Queen has charged them to bring the First Legion, conquerors of the hidden colonies beyond the Fringe, to justice. The Legion knows the RMN’s tricks, though, and has cleverly concealed their tracks.

Getting Worse
Revisado: 06-17-23
I really wish I didn't buy this whole series before reading some of the books. By this book, the forced wokeness is too much. Everyone is gay and it's all built around women. Also, the determined sexualization of everyone is very in your face. It's full of gender ideology. The story isn't getting any better either. The author went wrong when he got away from writing about Dameon Montgomery. It's stupid. Don't waste your time on this poor work.

Going Woke...
Revisado: 06-15-23
I want to finish the series but idk if I can stomach all of the obvious woke agenda being thrown in our faces. The story was ok, kinda struggling there but the agenda comes out real forced. Readers beware.

Good story so far!
Revisado: 04-24-23
I like the story so far. I keep hoping that the main character finds God in the real world. Also, I don't care for the writer's slant against America. But it isn't too noticeable and bad.

It’s not easy making the career jump from office-supplies-store middle manager to heroic interdimensional adventurer. At least, Jason tries to be heroic, but it's hard to be good when all your powers are evil. He’ll face off against cannibals, cultists, wizards, monsters...and that’s just on the first day. He’s going to need courage, he’s going to need wit, and he’s going to need some magic powers of his own. But first, he’s going to need pants.

Down Hill
Revisado: 01-09-23
These books started good but got worse as they went. This book is all over the place and takes turns just to be dramatic for the sake of being dramatic. All of the books end terribly and don't truly connect. It's dumb to call them a saga of any sense. They are ok books in general, but I won't be reading them again. The first book was the best. But this one isn't that great really.
