An Allegory if Teen Angst Gone Awry
Revisado: 07-13-19
This book describes an event at a teen sleepover in which one girl is horribly hurt. The perspective that rings true is that each parent dismisses the possibility that their child could go off the rails. As someone who works to prevent alcohol and drug use I found this story to be sadly realistic. I agree with a previous reviewer who said she didn’t like any of the characters. None was admirable.

He relocates to a small German hamlet to wed Elisabeth Herter, a widow who seeks a marriage - in name only - to a man who can help raise her three children. Anton seeks something too - atonement for failing to protect his young students from the wrath of the Nazis. Inspiring Story
Revisado: 04-23-19
This was a fascinating book that was based on facts related but a family member of the author. The main characters were believable, and the portrayal of the children was spot on. It is a reminder of both the evil
In the world and the ability of the human spirit to counteract that evil. Bravo!
