Narrated by Joe Arden and Heather Firth
Joe Arden deserves all the awards and recognition for this. Him saying “no one ever chooses me” fucking broke me. I felt it in my soul. Heather Firth really just did a phenomenal job with the emotional range and her inner turmoil was very clear. Listening to them bring Leigh Rivers words to life was amazing. I’m so glad I did the audiobook so I could experience the extended epilogue! I really loved this story and I even made it through all the scenes with the spider. I actually felt a little sad when you found out what happened to his pet spider. So you know this is good writing if you can make this arachnophobe feel sad for a spider.
I absolutely hated the mother. I went in blind to the plot of the story and I did not expect the mother to be that abhorrent. I’m just glad Olivia had Malakhi to be there to protect her.

And this spice. It was spicing. It was a plenty and I loved all of it. ⛓️🕷️🪛🌶️🌶️🌶️ more please!

The ending made me wonder if we’ll get more of Olivia and Malakhi…I hope we do. Please 🙏
I think I’m done reading about spiders now. I’m gonna need a hundred showers to not feel like I have webs in my hair and the back of my neck isn’t itchy. 😂
