I found the characters too shallow and the best parts were at the end. Sad really the writer and main character had a lot of promise but it was not developed.

Inspirational

I heard about this book from a friend who has just been diagnosed with the same cancer. He said the culinary aspect was very interesting and the facts about the disease were stark but helpful. I just finished listening to the Audible version and will definitely be listening again. The cuisine aspects were inspiring and Chef’s healing journey was the happy ending I hoped for. There was so much depth to this book that it is hard to convey. Just read /listen to it. It is well worth your time. Thanks

A Must Read: Thought Provoking & Inspirational

This book should be on the must-read list for all of our high school students. It opened my adult (parent of a HS Sophomore) and made me cry, agonize, laugh until I cried, and hang on every scary moment. Every emotion was awakened. I am better for having listened to this story. I hope you will listen and share with your ‘posse’ of friends and family. Enjoy & enjoy the re-awakening it will likely inspire!

Excellent and Timely

This book is so very timely to our current culture and cultural challenges, yet it reaches back to the ancient times. Greg did a tremendous job with the Story and magnificent job reading it to us. I will listen to this many times to glean all of the goodness from its existence.

Simply Delightful

I read a very scathing review just before I listened to this story and, while I already owned the book, I almost didn’t listen. But I read the summary of the story and pressed play! It was just what I needed. In this time of self-quarantine and Covid worries .... or any time you just need a sweet romance, THIS is the book. Nice storyline with humor, deep sadness, and a love that.... (I don’t want to ruin the story). Enjoy.

Wonderful story

This is my favorite story for helping me decompress and fall asleep. The reader has a lovely and soothing voice and the story takes us through a lovely village and then into a cozy tea shop. I don’t make it to the end very often as I have already relaxed and drifted off into a wonderful sleep.

Sweet & Clever

This was a light, fun and well narrated story. It would be great for 7 and up most likely. If you like ‘the good guy always wins’ stories; this is a great one. I am in my 50s and just needed a short, feel-good story and thoroughly enjoyed this!

Life changing

Not only is the story compelling and fairly easy to follow (it took a bit to connect, but well with the effort), but it is transformational! I am only 2 days into implementing the 5am club 20/20/20 methodology, but it’s been a very long time since I “bothered” to get up early, so happy for the change and new possibilities it may bring. Thank you, Mr Sharma, for yet another amazing and inspiring- and action-provoking book.

Perfectly charming

A wonderful story of bravery and determination. Charming and heartwarming for adults and I believe it would be encouraging & inspirational for young girls to hear this heartwarming story. Enjoy.
