This book hit so close to home.

Since I live in Florida and know all about ocean and hurricanes, I could totally resonate with the story. I also have loved and lost to soon. I also found my soulmate. This book gave all of the feels. It totally captured all of the heartache that comes with the loss of someone you love. I loved the narration. They did such a top notch job with it.

It started really good and the spice was good. But this was nothing like her other books. The writing just seemed different. I thought the book was drawn out and the ending seemed like it was a struggle on how to wrap the story up. The narrators were amazing tho and honestly the reason I didn’t DNF.

Love this series! I think it is a little slow in parts. I feel like there could be more world building . But it definitely kept my attention.

I think the series is good. I feel like it was dragged out in this book. The spicy was top notch but there was not much of it. I had to really push through the last book. I loved Joe and his French accent. Tobias and Dom really took my heart but after Dom died I feel like the story really was over.

Oh my heart.

So I want to start by saying that this entire series was great. I actually pre ordered this book and it is the first and only time I have ever done that. I even counted the days until it released. I fell in love with Blake. Kat was irritating at times but her wit was fantastic. Dom was not my favorite only because Blake stole my heart and Dom was so blind to the situation. This book also made me cry. Alexandria Lee how dare you rip my heart out and put it back together in a dang book. The trigger worthy moments were written so well that I actually cringed as if I was in the room. This book was not my favorite of the series but it ties it up so nicely.

Okay let me start by saying that to others this may be exactly what they enjoy but it wasn’t mine. Narrators were great. I looovveeee Troy Duran. With that being said here’s the need to know. The plot was lacking substance and for it to be lacking so much, this book was way dragged out. The build ups were good but when the “shoe dropped” it was kinda like “oh well that’s anticlimactic “. The plot twist was just was kinda expected and honestly ruined the story . This book gave stalker Lifetime movie vibes with an odd HEA. The spicy was okay but not memorable. The spicy could have been loads better. This was not worth my purchase or a credit. This did not live up to the hype for me.

I listen to a book a day pretty much. This book literally had me laughing out loud. The relationship that these guys have is absolutely amazing. Each personality is so well developed and portrayed. The friend group is seriously was the best This was a serious slow burn but holy cow when the spice finally kicks in ….the MMC nailed it . Not much makes me blush but woah buddy it sure did. It was soooo good.

Narrator and the banter

So I have been completely stuck on duet or dual narration. I had been putting off reading because it is single narration. However, Kelsey Navarro did a phenomenal job narrating and making it easy to differentiate between characters. She completely nailed it with the MFC voice. The only things I was not impressed with was the spice. What little spice it had was good but it was more of a slow burn without ever truly catching fire. This was more angst and longing than spice. I also that the tug and pull moments were more intense for the MMC .Although it is stated he is not the “cheating kind” it would have been nice to hear more of a moral battle for him. Although it is narrated from the MFC POV… adding more of the agonizing moral dilemma from the MMC POV would have upped the angst a new level. The cliffhanger absolutely threw me for loop as that is not my preference. I am glad that this is a series and can immediately start the next book. Worth the credit. Btw if this was duet narration … Troy Duran would be a Kick ass Dom.

Oh my heart!

Okay, to start there is more heart string pulling than spice. The dialogue was great. This was a slow burn for sure. The comedy was relatable and hysterical. The chemistry between them was amazing. The banter reminded me of my relationship with my husband. This book made me tear up and laugh. Honestly had a more realistic storyline than a fairytale one. Worth the read!

This book was just okay. I really liked the characters and the general story. However, there was almost no spice at all. For a person looking for something with little to no spicy scenes but decent story …… this would be good. I feel like there could have been more time spent on character development though.
