nice to see female lead in this Genre

I have just started reading this style and was not sure if I wanted to keep reading it when saw this with female lead. The female main character changes how I looked and took in the story, it turned the typical story progression (which it follows) just enough that it feels fresh . Lots of little things that keep you thinking.
Has lots of hints of the things working in background that make me look forward to next.

Good second book will be grabbing third

enjoying story, is a different take for dungeons (been reading typical lit rpg) which I find nice change
bit different in reading as narrator creates sounds which don't typically hear in audio book . I have not read only listened to the audio so it maybe that sounds are noted in the text .

As an English speaker I am not tracking names well , the similar sounds make being sure who being referred to a bit difficult but most cases context clarifies . this has not effected my enjoyment or following of story line

Andre Norton books most often stand test of time.
Good for younger listeners/readers to introduce to science fiction/fantasy

Nice start to new series

Looking forward to next book. As always his characters draw you in and have dimension and are relatable in terms of personalites so you can see things in them that know of people like them or similar parts.

Good start to series

the long length was good allows for building of a number of threads and exposes character s so are fleshed out.
Main character does rant about the society but I actually found that made character feel more real. a modern person, dropped in a society the developed from one based on aristocracy and guilds is going to run against lot of things that feel wrong to them and get this here.
Looking forward to book 2
as a side note read the ebook first and enjoyed it enough to want to hear it in audio.

enjoying the series , lots of little twists and hints to keep a reader involved and looking forward to what comes next.
I like the fact that characters make me smile and have broad range so can think "I know someone like that""

first in a series connected to another series

I enjoyed the book and intend to read at least the next in the series.
This is the first book I have read/listened to by this author and the story was good however there were comments/thoughts by main character that clearly are references to future / other books that for me added nothing to narrative except to break it up and distract .

engaging story

Characters kept my attention , has a nice amount of humour and I liked the various aliens . I have already bought the next in the series .
