The mc and the story are simple yet interesting and easy to track. Narrators are doing a great job giving a tangible feel and character to the, well, characters, and although it's sometimes cringy, after you get used to the voices it gets interesting to watch the characters behave in different ways and the story play out.
This book might not be for everyone, but I would recommend giving it a try and you might find that you like it!

This is a fun story about a team of adventurers beating the bad guys with a pop-culture goblin who's a mouthful, an energized gamer with plenty of exciting BOGO deals, and a few normies who are enjoying (as much as they can) the ride. I really enjoyed listening to it and on many occasions Jeff and Harmon brought smiles on to my face with occasional giggles and laughter :)
It'd like to mention, that that's one of the rare occasions, when the whole team has unique personalities and characters, and it's interested to see them evolve and behave in a way that's specific to them, and not all being "extremely smart" or "stupid" characters, as often is the case for litrpg.

Fluff was a breath of fresh air in the LitRPG genre and I was really excited by the mix of super-hero system and cute characters. I was looking forward to enjoying the second book in the series and oh did it deliver! The cast of characters has broadened yet the author has masterfully managed to give enough "screen time" for each character to sharpen up their personality, interests, and behavior, and Emma has done a great job giving a distinct voice to each of the girls.

Fluff is a fun story that you can enjoy by yourself or with kids, with cute characters that do their best in difficult situations and with a bit of luck they'll come out stronger, braver, and more adorable :)

While the story itself is great and interesting, the narration by Jeff Hays just brings this to the next level!
I love that the mc is neither overpowered, extremely smart, nor hyper-charismatic. Instead, he's thrown into an action scene that is happening around him with a great supporting cast of strong characters (aka interesting personalities with clear ideas, characters, and unique behavior) and he can only decide on the direction the party will follow.
I would highly recommend this series to litrpg fans as it has all the great things that we love yet puts the emphasis on the world-building and character progression that is often missing from many books in the genre. Really looking forward to the next books in the series!

Though I really love the premise of deck/card building LitRPG, this specific case left me unsatisfied. The story doesn't have a clear direction, and it shifts so suddenly from one storyline to another, that it throws you off. Often the mc behavior contradicts of his decisions and actions later in the book, and the world-building slightly shifts through the whole story as if the author decided to change the world every few chapters.

When listening to this book I would suggest listening to the first 2 chapters and then jumping to chapter 24. This will skip a few unclear side stories that don't add much to the character and the story and introduces a bunch of events and details that contradict the future chapters. This will probably will transform a book into a better heist story when you learn about the character's background slowly and might make it much more interesting.

I enjoyed the book, but mostly thanks to Travis and his awesome narration as usual. The writing is good, and the world-building is refreshing. I enjoyed the idea of the system existing for a hundred years already and twisting some rules of the universe so that people won't have a chance to go back to what they had before - no guns, electricity, concrete. The writing and editing is great, it's easy to listen and comprehend, scenes have smooth transitions and nothing happens in a blink of an eye - pacing is kept in check for the entirety of the book.
The downside is the characters and their progressions. We see some conflict and insights into the main character stories in the beginning of the story, but it all falls apart and melds together by the end of the book. Even the conflict between mc and west started so good, and were abandoned after just a few chapters. His blood powers are not fully explored, and the power dynamic with his sister is thrown away as she fights on the same level with him. It's still worth a credit, but explore other books by Luke.

The story doesn't take itself seriously, but this doesn't remove the fun from listening to it. It reminded me of the Prince has no pants in the humor style, but this one has so many more references and inside jokes. If you've read a bunch of litrpg/isekai books, this one would be a nice "side-quest" and a break in between more serious once. I didn't fully enjoy the narration though, it's harder to distinguish characters sometimes and a little bit to much over the top narration for mundane situations.
Give it a try, definitely worth a credit!

Pros: The writing or the book is good and scene and character descriptions are interesting. It's much better than many in this genre that are definitely missing a goof editor.
Cons: Events and decisions are too hectic, mc suddenly falls in love, suddenly becomes rich and popular, while at the same time it takes 2 hours to get into the game itself. I'm half through the book and I can't relate to the mc, his goals, the love story or the world. The narrator is doing an ok job, but in conversations between two people it's really hard to figure out who's talking.

I enjoyed immensely the first book, and the second gives me no other option but to love it too. While many books in the genre are throwing different side quests to the main character, adding items, cities, and other world elements here and there to make the story more interesting, Master Hunter K establishes the storyline from the very first lines and sticks to it hard. I think the book is most comparable to Dark Souls' setting, where you struggle on your first attempt (but look at it differently on your second play through) with epic bosses and side characters that enhance the story. This book is a translation, but I never felt any issues with it and the wording flows smoothly. So far it's definitely my #1 rated book in 2022.
I would recommend this book to both litrpg fans and people who are just entering this genre.

I enjoyed the narration, world and music of the first book immensely and the Midnight Orchestra is similarly on a very high level. I was waiting for the book release for months and happy that it's finally out! The story is simple and the twists are predictable, but it's a book for kids so I'll allow it to slip. It has lots of musical pieces performed professionally in the background without ruining the narration, so it was a pleasure to listen. Suzy is one of my favorite narrators and she did a fantastic job with this book with all the characters and their emotions. Highly recommend it, especially as a free listen with Audible Plus!
