I love this whole storyline. The one distracting part of the story (audible) is how the narrator pronounces Lady Osbaldstone’s name. It’s not like every other narrator in the many books where the Lady is a character and not bugs me to have it “mispronounced”. And the author way overuses “Boudica”. But beyond these minor peeves, the story is great and I’m looking forward to the next installment of the Bastion Club.

World crossing love story

I loved the intricacies of the storyline, the characters and the discoveries that evil may not be what it seems. Elizabeth Evan’s puts so much of the story’s emotions in her narration that you almost want to cry with Victoria.

Dramatic conclusion to a brilliant series. I loved the characters and storylines so much that I hated to have it end but like art great things, end it did. And with an unexpected little twist ending too! Indeed with love, all is possible.

I loved the storyline and heartbroken by those losses. I spent many late nights not able to step away from the book. Complex tale of the power of love that survives power struggles and the pain of loss.

Wish there was more, needed more tree cats

Like others, I wished there were more tree cats in this final story. I had hoped they’d have some kind of communication breakthrough between the people and the 2 legs. And last, some kind of an update on the landless clan. But regardless, I enjoyed the story.

Fun story- well written even for adults

No need for author apologies in the intro!

Ms Briggs gave us a bit of history leading to the publication of this book, ending with an apology. That was unneeded, as I loved this story. Enough so that I’m moving on the the second in the series because I’m not yet ready to leave the world of magic, shapeshifters and wolves.

Fantastically fun! Nicolas Bolton- brilliant

This was one of the most fun audio books I’ve listened to in a awhile. Bolton’s voice, characters and performance brings all of the players to brilliant life. I loved it and am quite sad that the next 2 books in this universe are out as audio books. Be aware- adult themes and language.

A wonderful ending to the story

I love how everyone gets their just reward, old hates healed and hearts opened. While this is the 2nd in the series, the feel is much different with the modern language. Bolton’s voice- whew! He’s the best for romance narration-brings each character to life.
