Such a riveting story

Evan and Reece are such great characters and the storyline of this series is fascinating and well written, with many unexpected laugh out loud moments! I can’t wait for book three!

Managed to finish it

The story was fairly compelling and characters interesting. Some phrases in the writing were quite noticeably overused: “small smile”, for example. I don’t like to criticize performance much…it’s a difficult job on so many levels, but personally I had difficulty listening to the nasal tone, vocal fry, and frequent trailing off (I suppose the last point is more of a writing criticism) applied to some characters. I managed to finish the story though.

Great story and narration!

What a creative, compelling story and wonderful characters! The narrator was really excellent as well-at first I was a bit thrown off by his diction, but it grew on me very quickly and I love the voices and tone he lent to the characters. I’m excited to read Book 2!

Fabulous on so many levels

Very Unbecoming is brilliant and thoughtfully written, and the production was about the best I have heard. I laughed out loud so frequently. Underneath it all is a fun, beautiful story. Looking for more productions by Fresh Produce!

Great writing, deeply depressing story

What an excellent writer. Performances were also quite good. Despite finding the story deeply depressing and not enjoyable personally, I saw it through to the end. I did find the introspection of several of the characters to be worthwhile.

Fantastic writing, Fraser is phenomenal

The Downloaded is the best audio production of its kind I have listened to yet. Such great writing, really excellent production overall, and the acting, particularly by Fraser, was so great. It was entertaining, funny, moving, and thought-provoking.

Listening to this beautifully written story, I burst into laughter at some points and was quite moved almost to tears at others. Such great writing! That Mr. Duchovny performs the narration as well only adds to it. I will be seeking out his other works.

Brilliant writing, very compelling

This is the best writing I’ve encountered in quite some time in terms of well-developed characters working out a moral quandary, and a fascinating storyline involving gene editing of our species. I was riveted by the story and am now looking into other works by this author. Regarding the narration, I tend to have a difficult time finding narrators I can tolerate, and I thought this one was quite good.
