well written but ending was a little lackluster

overall a really good little story. excellently performed and super engaging, but the ending went, well, nowhere. I was expecting more. doesn't take away from a good story that's still worth the listen but, 'meh'. Again though, great story and performance overall.

incredible story, lackluster reader

this was an incredible twist on the Sherlock home story. The narrator however, was really off. it just sounded weird. it's worth it for the story, but you really had to get over the reader a bit.

Thoughtful, exciting, and a bit provocative

The story is extremely engaging and really captures the tension and adventure happening with and among the characters. much like all of this author's work this book is powerful, but this story line in particular just seems so exciting. I must read for anyone interested in action-packed fantasy.

Much deeper than your basic fantasy book, and so well written and performed. The subtle commentary on race and privilege is merged seamlessly with an engrossing story. Really, just a joy to listen to.
