Historia
In April 1945, the Allies are charging toward Berlin from the west, the Russians from the east. For Hitler, the situation is hopeless. But at this turning point in history, another war is about to explode. To win World War II, the Allies dealt with the devil. Joseph Stalin helped FDR, Churchill, and Truman crush Hitler. But what if "Uncle Joe" had given in to his desire to possess Germany and all of Europe? In this stunning novel, Robert Conroy picks up the history of the war just as American troops cross the Elbe into Germany. Then Stalin slams them with the brute force of his enormous Soviet army.

The first literary historical description of the sufferings of the german people in WW2
Revisado: 07-31-23
Virtually all ww2 stories focus on the sufferings of the Jews, and minorities in the war. This book also accurately
describes the greatest population of innocent Germans. when hitlers armies marched east there were no patriotic crowds sending them off, by
1942 most german civilians knew that their leaders
were insane. The Regular german army knew virtually nothing about the Jewish extermination camps except by rumors. Look at life of Bonhoffer!!

The Solarian League lies in defeat, crushed by the Grand Alliance of Manticore, Haven, and Grayson. Obedient to the Alliance's surrender demands, the League is writing a new Constitution, to prevent the reemergence of out-of-control bureaucrats, like the "Mandarins" who led it to disaster. cardinal virtues is a stunningly great book
Revisado: 06-20-22
In the line of the 1632 series it puts the listener into the minds and circumstances of the French court after Cardinal Richleu's death. Filled with historically accurate and finely crafted verbal fencing of the high court it is a treat for all who long to understand thisi world long past. It creates mental pictures much sharper than any movie I have ever seen. Highest reccomendation!!!

Historia
The Solarian League's navy counts its superdreadnoughts by the thousands. Not even its own government knows how enormous its economy truly is. And for hundreds of years, the League has borne the banner of human civilization, been the ideal to which humanity aspires in its diaspora across the galaxy. But the bureaucrats known as the "Mandarins," who rule today's League, are not the men and women who founded it so long ago. They are corrupt, venal, accountable to no one...and they've decided the upstart Star Kingdom of Manticore must be destroyed.

Grand finish to Honor harrington series
Revisado: 10-23-21
A satisfying dramatic ending to the honor harrington epic. Great dialog, many clues to further stories, and marvelous characters.
Even villians are redeemed and made interesting in the context of their feelings and choices. Its hard to think of a more family centered ending.
