I dont know how JD Robb keeps coming up with such great writing. This is like the 60th book with these characters and its even better than the last one. Cleaver plot. Great new characters. Evolving yet engaging growth in the reoccurring characters. The star of the book is the narator. Erickson does a fantastic job with all the different accents and tones of the people so one can easily get caught up in each person's personality. Overall this is one of best Eve Dallas adventures yet.

Henry Winkler does an awesome job in telling his story. He is really open, which is a wondrous gift to his audience. Especially when you learn about why that might be hard for him. I enjoyed hearing his wife's input as well. And impressed to hear the commitment they had. The book was very organized and easy to follow. Great job everyone ! EJANESS

JD Robb & Susan Erickson Do It Again!

I love these characters. I cant wait until each book to see how they grow. After over 60 books with them they are my go to friends. I reread these books over and over. It was great to visit with them again in this book.
Susan Erickson has been and is masterful with her various and distinct character voices. You know right away whose talking. She is excellent with tones and inflections to give the story life.
The subject matter in this book was a little hard. And the explicit scenes between minors was uncomfortable. When I read this book again I will forward fast over those parts. I have done that in the past with the "In Death" Books.
However, I cant give up these books. JD Robb is an incredible writer. Rich Characters and a great writing style. They are my guilty pleasure.

The body was left in a dumpster like so much trash, the victim a woman of no fixed address, known for offering paper flowers in return for spare change - and for keeping the cops informed of any infractions she witnessed on the street. But the notebook where she scribbled her intel on litterers and other such offenders is nowhere to be found. Then Eve is summoned away to a nearby building site to view more remains - in this case decades old, adorned with gold jewelry and fine clothing - unearthed by recent construction work.

Really liked this story. JD Robb is an incredible writer. Susan Erickson is Amazing as narrator. I always look forward to this team 's work. Its hard to hear when it ends. I immediately look forward to the next book. I love how the characters grow and evolve through the books. Especially Roake and Eve.

Debbie Reynolds' book well worth experiencing

This is a wonderfully detailed, interesting trip down memory lane. Lots of inside information told in an honest way. There is no poison angery gossip, just her opened opinions. Recommend listening to this book and the one she did before this one. It's sad to note she died only 4 years after this reading. She seemed like an incredible Lady.

This is a fascinating story of a time long gone. It has historical and personal memories of Hollywood's beginnings and how it changed into the 21st century shared by one who experienced a lot of it 1st hand. Robert Wagner is factual with a somewhat respectful grace in looking back. I really enjoyed his own reading of it and hearing a bit of his feelings about it in his tone
