Historia
The latest groundbreaking tome from Tim Ferriss, the number-one New York Times best-selling author of The 4-Hour Workweek. For the last two years, I've interviewed more than 200 world-class performers for my podcast, The Tim Ferriss Show. The guests range from super celebs (Jamie Foxx, Arnold Schwarzenegger, etc.) and athletes (icons of powerlifting, gymnastics, surfing, etc.) to legendary Special Operations commanders and black-market biochemists. For most of my guests, it’s the first time they’ve agreed to a two-to-three-hour interview.

To make a name for yourself, you have to capitalize on your unique perspective and knowledge and inspire others to listen and take action. But becoming a "thought leader" is a mysterious and opaque process. Where do the ideas come from, and how do they get noticed?

Decline can be avoided. Decline can be detected. Decline can be reversed. Amidst the desolate landscape of fallen great companies, Jim Collins began to wonder: How do the mighty fall? Can decline be detected early and avoided? How far can a company fall before the path toward doom becomes inevitable and unshakable? How can companies reverse course?

Historia
Business partnerships are wonderfully complex entities. As with all relationships, they are vulnerable and subject to fallibility. If you think the fact that one in every two marriages in the United States ends in divorce (that's one every 36 seconds!) is unbelievable, then consider this: The number is significantly higher for business partnerships; about 70 percent of them fail. As a business partnership relationship coach, my mission is to help flip this fail/succeed ratio.

A must read for new and old business partners.
Revisado: 11-11-16
Was there a moment in the book that particularly moved you?
When business partnerships fail, the failure does not only affect the lives of the owners. Business failures impact the lives of families, employees, suppliers, and communities in addition to the owners. I was moved by the Dr. Lehavi's passion to reduce the number of partnership failures so that good things result in the lives of the families, employees, and communities that the partnerships touch. Her passion for saving business partnerships run throughout the book like a never-ending stream. This book has helped me to be a better business attorney.
Any additional comments?
I picked up this book because I wanted to get a better understanding of (1) how to help potential partners form lasting business partnerships, and (2) how to recognize red flags suggesting that a partnership is spiraling downward. This book does just that. The author, Dr. Dorene Lehavi, does an excellent job giving a step-by-step roadmap to forming and maintaining strong business partnerships.
This book is a must read for anyone who is considering entering into a business partnership and anyone who is already in a partnership and want to learn ways to make the union between partners stronger. This book is also a good resource for business attorneys who want to do a better job structuring lasting business entities that involve more than one owner.

Revisado: 10-15-16
Would you listen to Uncontainable again? Why?
Healthy relationships is the key to getting anything done that requires more than one person. I will read this book again because I am always looking for ways to help the people I serve to get better at relating to other people.
What does Author bring to the story that you wouldn’t experience if you just read the book?
The author brings his passion to the book by the way he spoke about what it took to build a team of people who are knowledgeable and passionate about doing their job and doing it well.
Any additional comments?
As an attorney who has practices both business law and employment law for 24 years, I have learned a lot about what makes some teams more effective than others and why some relationships work and why some do not work. As a life-long learner, I am also always looking for better ways to do difficult things such as building, managing, and leading effective teams.I read this book after going to a Container Store to find certain items for my office and home. I was really impressed by two things: (1) the consistency of the high level of knowledge that the store employees had concerning the merchandise, and (2) the passion that each employee showed in the way they did their job. I was pleasantly surprised to find a book written by the former CEO, Kip Tindell. Kip Tindell walks you through the process of what it takes to build an effective team of people who are knowledgeable and passionate about what they do. I recommend this book to anyone who wishes to do the same.
