Historia
This is a very different book: It is written for the dreamers of this world - the people who KNOW that something different is possible - but who have never had the tools before.... This is a Handbook for Generating Infinite Possibilities and Dynamic Change. For you. And the world. Ten years ago, Dr. Dain Heer started as a chiropractor in California, USA. Seemingly successful and happy, Dain Heer was on the verge of suicide when he came across Access Consciousness. With this modality, based on question and choice, Dr. Heer's life began to expand and grow with more ease and speed than even he could have imagined possible.

Slow Your Roll...
Revisado: 08-11-17
While the material may have been engaging, the speed at which the author speaks made it hard to digest his words. Slowing down the playback did not really help much as the distorted voice to understand the words detracted from the experience. Excitement over the topic was evident. However, the fast delivery did not promote an easy listening experience.

Not What The Title Suggested...
Revisado: 08-10-17
Which character – as performed by Emma Spurgin-Hussey – was your favorite?
The narrator was a bit dry and very proper -- a cold and academic feel. Not warm or inviting even when conveying tragedy. Only the words let you know the story's content; compassionate voice modulation was absent.
Any additional comments?
By the title, I though this book was about the disconnectedness of humanity relating to the stress and overwhelm of feeling alone. I anticipated the feel-good assurance that we are all connected and realizing such can lighten our load. However, this book promotes social health. Not what was expected.

Need More than the Extremities
Revisado: 08-10-17
If you’ve listened to books by Geneen Roth before, how does this one compare?
I enjoy Geneen Roth very much, but this listen was lacking completeness. I enjoy her soothing voice and trust her wisdom. This meditation does bring awareness to the extremities but it stops before allowing full embodiment.
Your Relationship with Food, Vol. II focuses on the core by tuning in to physical and emotional hunger in our mouth, throat, power center and belly. For me, the second volume better helps to ground me in all of the body. It is a better integration of mindful inquiry and awareness whereas this volume is awareness of the certain body parts only.

When you turn to food for anything other than giving your body what it wants and needs, it is a symptom that there's more than physical hunger going on: an inner challenge.

Hello, Body... Nice to Meet You
Revisado: 08-10-17
Would you listen to Your Relationship with Food Vol. II again? Why?
Again and again. This is a great meditation that I have used for the last three days in a row and will for some time until tuning in to my body is second nature.
Which character – as performed by Geneen Roth – was your favorite?
Geneen walks us through an opportunity to be inside the cells and various parts of our bodies. She invites us to get to know our body and tune into its wisdom. Quietly tuning to the location of sensations. We can then interpret whether what we feel is actually a physical sensation or if our mind is having a reaction to external cues.
Any additional comments?
I use this as a complement and practical application of a portion of the mindful inquiry techniques she mentioned in her book, "Women, Food and God."

Refreshingly Light on God
Revisado: 08-10-17
Would you listen to Women, Food and God again? Why?
I will be listening to certain chapters again and have flagged them accordingly. There is good information about how to tune into the body and use an inquiry system of mindfulness. The techniques are simple, but will take practice to master. Listening to the rationale and hearing a few stories about how it is used helps to cement the reasoning and compel consistent action.
Was there a moment in the book that particularly moved you?
Her admonition of 'never underestimat[ing] the urge to bolt' resounded within. Her stories are humorous, relatable and very memorable. How often do we sign up for something we feel with help us only to bolt from when it is uncomfortable in any way? This is the first time I realized we actually bolt from ourselves.
Any additional comments?
At first, the title of the book had me brace myself for possible religious fanaticism. I was relieved that was not her approach at all. Quite the contrary. She speaks of spirituality and how we can follow any one path to its end. For those of us who spend so much time obsessing about food (the self proclaimed foodies), why not use the practices of mindful inquiry as a spiritual devotion. How we eat, approach food and care for our bodies really is a microcosm or how we view all of life. We are not just what we eat -- we are how and why we eat. (The book is not just for women :-)
