One that caught me off guard !

I have been an Audible member for over 12 years. Sometimes you hit the jackpot and find a hidden gem.

This book is one of those!
I am going to go to the kitchen to do some preparation for the holidays.
My Bluetooth speaker and a fresh pot of coffee, I am going to listen to this book for the 2nd time in full, before I move on to the next in the series.

This one will be put in my “forever” book file.

Extremely well written.
The clarity of going through the emotional situations is amazing.
There is none of the “fluff writing”, words slung around carelessly to fill a page, that are found so often today.
This book is an enjoyable, emotional, intriguing, and mystical experience that is well worth the time and money to experience.
And you WILL experience the situations clearly with this author, as though you were standing right beside the sisters!

Well done, with skill beyond Most.

Could not finish this book

I tried so hard to listen to the book in full. Not only was the narrator dry as could be, there just wasn’t a good solid storyline to follow.
I could not get interested or feel any of the characters.
The main character needs so much more than was offered.
For anyone wanting a fulfilling set of k9 stories - look for the author Sherry A. Burton and the Jerry McNeil series….suitable for children to adults ….. and a bit different but a series that will stay in our collection is Lisa Shay — Dogs Don’t Lie ( A Pet Communicator Cozy Mystery)
These are available for Audible and Kindle Unlimited ——- we have BOTH versions and buying in paper back as well !

NOT the Great read

I have nothing but frowns.
Storyline was limp at best.
Over loaded sex that was borderline disgusting.
Just not worth the punctuation to say more.

WoW - Start to End - WoW

I don’t write a review that gives an outline….. if you truly want to know a book, you need the author’s words.
I will tell you that I chose this book on the free list while available for a “light read.” I made a horrible mistake. This is NOT a light read. This is one of the clearest written suspense, mystery, grab the edge of the seat stories I have read in years!
I started this early in the morning, planning on getting a couple hours here and there.
I spent the entire day with this book - Start to End, pausing only to swap out headphones as they recharged.
I have absolutely NO regrets on this title and will be buying a copy to keep in my forever library of audio books. *Yes, I have a mega external computer harddrive set up for audio books and music so they are always available.
Easy to read, some language but not anything that isn’t the “normal” of today. No wild sex.
If you want a fantastically written, hold your breath, can’t put down book….. this is the one!

Series is a Win!

I wasn’t too sure when I chose this series….
And then the story unfolded.
I will keep these titles in my library for use over and over.
Suitable to keep a busy woman who has lived many years and still acceptable for play outloud with grandchildren learning about mysteries and intrigue.
Don’t mark it in your mind as a soft touch yet - because the twists and turns are there!
I will never regret the $ or credits spent!
Just want more!
Start writing dear Author!

Not the narrator this book needs

I tried 3 x through several months.
I just can’t get beyond 5 chapters.
I will try the written version.
This narrator just can’t set up the story line for me to even feel the characters.

It is sad to say I don’t know if this lady is real or not. But the story is done in such a way that it feels real. If this lady is real what a life and we need many more people like her. I loved it and will listen to this many more times . I love it . Me. Fierstein please do many more.

Lettuce Sandwich

Maybe I am just too well read.
Although the outline of the story is excellent - it is the actual substance I found lacking.
To my view it was like expecting a steak sandwich and ending up with a lettuce sandwich.
There is ONE major superior choice / detail I thoroughly approved - I did not have to graze through ridiculous insane hot steamy trash of sex scenes.
I struggled to get through the book.
The over indulged information of surroundings and space fillers, as in the and description of the cook stove ....... Yeesh.
Yet, the hidden tunnel was never described clearly.
I had issues with the narrator - very monotone and flat, but when there is lack of substance, it is hard to do.
I won't recommend, I will be returning.
It had such promise......

An Involved tale

I read / listen to a great number of books,
I really like the outline, the promise was there...
It was, for me, a fat-free version...
Like a sandwich from an unknown restaurant,
You know it's supposed to be mayonnaise but some thing is missing ......

I really didn't see a need for the extreme descriptions dragging on in the sex scenes - I know where the local porn store is for reading those.

I am sure the younger housewife will think these to be awesome, I am glad they fill someone with pleasure - I just require a bit MORE ...
I don't know if I will move on to the 2nd in series or not ......

Good story but then again it is Mister King I expect nothing less it is not one that I will listen to a lot like the Stand, It, Bag of Bones, or the Dark Tower books but a good listen just the same
