The characters are so much more damaged than the movie version. The desperation an despair from loss and injury completely change the dynamic of the story.

story was great, (reader took a bit to get used to, he sounded like he was doing commercial voice work for the first hour). A lot of characters, twist in several directions. The possbilty of the govt dept/agencies existing is scary, and fueling the conspiracy groups.

This series is so much fun! My husband and I have really enjoyed all this books in this series and we can't wait for the next one! If you are a fan of Amanda Carlson's Holly Danger series (which is awesome too) then you will love this one too.

I find this series as well as The Way of Kings to be exceptional stories. The only issue is you have go through them twice to understand everything that isn't explained as you come across them the first time. However, this means the second time through is much more enjoyable. I am currently in my second time through the Mistborn series, and will be on my fourth time through The Way of Kings.

Unfortunately, The author decided not to answer the questions that were supposed to gathering for the final book, leaving the reader or listener to come to their own conclusions. The last few books seemed sloppy and hastily written but then I've never been able to figure out how DK could write 90% of a great book and fail the ending so badly.
