Pulled me in quickly

This was my first time reading/listening to a post-apocalypse book. The story really drew me in. I liked learning about the characters and their growth. There were some unexpected twists that I felt added to the story. There were some tough parts to the story and I was really moved by the beginning of Jackson's story.
