Historia
The Yellowstone super-eruption has put an end to modern civilization. As cities and countries continue to fall, the colony of Rivendell in the alternate Earth known as Outland looks more and more like the only real hope for humanity. Atheist BS.
Revisado: 02-09-23
Author gets his ageism on in a big way. young characters are written favorably, olders are written in cartoonist fashion.

Disappointing on multiple levels.
Revisado: 07-08-22
It feels like someone had a good idea but halfway through got bored and had to wrap it up in very formulaic way.

Historia
The aftermath of the virus left the world in shambles. Humanity was centuries from recovering. The devastation was caused not by pestilence and death as in past plagues, but by immortality, vitality, and infertility. The pandemic was so transformative that it became known as simply the Event. John Fitzpatrick, retired FBI agent, is consumed with exposing what, or who, is behind the Event. As John looks for answers, he must navigate a new world created by the Event, decades of world-wide depression and war, messianic cult leaders, and a meddlesome AI.

A long way to go
Revisado: 04-13-21
I knew not to expect much science from this "science fiction" right from the epilogue that had a single celled organism experiencing emotions and memories. This disappointment was matched by the unprofessional recording and what seems to be the narrarator's first attempt at this line of work. Imagine someone reading a book to you and not attempting to differentiate characters' voice in any way; but the audiobook and you won't have to imagine.

Author seems to have given up.
Revisado: 10-28-20
Long story with some questions and conflicts raised being all wrapped up in the last chapter with one character revealing all of the answers in literally one monologue. The last scene in the epilogue was just taken very near verbatim from an extremely popular movie in 1981.
Ridiculous cartoonish portrayals of Americans matched by equally cartoonish American accents by the narrarator.

Hire A) an editor B) a professional voice artist
Revisado: 08-02-20
Zero character development. I couldn't care less about any of them. Zero story logic. Zero knowledge of the military. The story isn't compelling enough to push me to get part 2; the same narrator in part 2 ensures I won't.

I wanted it to be better.
Revisado: 11-16-15
Less science fiction, more an attempt at Tom Clancy on a couple of flimsy spaceships. Given the synopsis I wanted it to be a great story.
