Historia
Forty-one-year Army veteran General (Ret.) Martin Dempsey and 41-year-old UC Berkeley associate professor Ori Brafman have been friends for almost 10 years. Though they have almost nothing in common, their collaboration has produced a powerful message. Their new book, Radical Inclusion, examines today’s leadership landscape and describes the change it demands of leaders. The nature of power is changing and should not be measured by degree of control alone.

Historia
Who can foretell India's future? Mr. Joshi is a fortune teller in a slum in south Delhi who uses a soothsaying green parrot to make predictions. When Adam Roberts visited him in 2012, Joshi's parrot declared that India was destined to become the most powerful nation under Prime Minister Narendra Modi. Through vivid storytelling and insight, Superfast Primetime Ultimate Nation examines the problems and promises of fast-growing India to reveal how it might reach its full potential and become, as Mr. Joshi's parrot predicted, a truly powerful nation.

Biased stories and personal attacks
Revisado: 04-09-19
It’s very clear that author is extremely opposed of Modi. His comments on Hindu and Muslim is offensive and derogatory. Clear westerner mentality and too many personal attacks on Modi. Author need to understand the history before drawing conclusion. Sad part is I had to listen to this stupid book for my course work and I don’t understand why the hell my professor chose this book. Describing Hindus and Muslims as fanatics and extremists on multiple occasions is on purpose. This is clearly an effort to undermine two nations that are making every effort to come out of British rule chaos for a century and looting. I recommend not to waste time reading this book.

Historia
In Shock is a riveting first-hand account from a young critical care physician, who in the passage of a moment is transfigured into a dying patient. This transposition, coincidentally timed at the end of her medical training, instantly lays bare the vast chasm between the conventional practice of medicine and the stark reality of the prostrate patient.

Must read book for current trainees
Revisado: 06-25-18
Beautiful story. I didn’t like the story teller voice change when she is trying to imitate male role plays. It was little annoying to listen but got used to it. If it’s any other story I could have stopped listening but Rana’s story and anecdotes kept it going. I’m impressed with Sparks story and the way resilience brought to multiple scenarios. Yes, I agree this is what is missing in Medicine. Compassion. Dr. Awdish, well done. This will Be milestone book for future generations. I will recommend this to every student and Resident on my rotation after they finish regarding “Being Mortal” 😄.

Why I waited 35 years to read this
Revisado: 06-06-18
I recently learned this book is actually a text book in USA schools for kids. I asked around some of my colleagues about Finch and other characters in this book. They don't remember. This book is worth of reading 5-10 times in life time. I think the best part of actually the narration in souther accent. It reminded me the beautiful days in Dothan Alabama. I changed my way of talking to my Kids after I learned more about Mr.Finch. My 5 yr old daughter loved few paragraphs when she listened to Audio. Amazingly done.

Historia
As passionate as it is profound, Atlas Shrugged is one of the most influential novels of our time. In it, Rand dramatizes the main tenets of objectivism, her philosophy of rational selfishness. She explores the ramifications of her radical thinking in a world that penalizes human intelligence and integrity.

Revisado: 06-06-18
Excellent narration. Some great statements. Works out great just like in novel and imaginary word. Superiority complex. #HOWisthisstillathing. Watch John Oliver Ayn Rand still a thing episode in YouTube before read this book. You will realize why I say this. I was recommended to read this strongly, even thought this book feels like a good book but this nonsense and statements are outrageous and intimidating, probably will teach arrogance to younger generation.

Historia
At least one-third of the people we know are introverts. They are the ones who prefer listening to speaking; who innovate and create but dislike self-promotion; who favor working on their own over working in teams. It is to introverts—Rosa Parks, Chopin, Dr. Seuss, Steve Wozniak—that we owe many of the great contributions to society.

A book to be read by pure Extroverts
Revisado: 06-06-18
This book is a great insight to teach when to be listening. I like the part of comparing eastern world with western. Book did get little boring in the end. Overall it is must read book for pure extrovert, reason it teaches you why we need to be listening when we need to and how we can get energy from inside.

Historia
It is well documented that our health-care system has grave problems, but how, in only a matter of decades, did things get this bad? Dr. Elisabeth Rosenthal doesn't just explain the symptoms; she diagnoses and treats the disease itself. Rosenthal spells out in clear and practical terms exactly how to decode medical doublespeak, avoid the pitfalls of the pharmaceuticals racket, and get the care you and your family deserve. She takes you inside the doctor-patient relationship, explaining step by step the workings of a profession sorely lacking transparency.

Informative but not that engaging
Revisado: 03-02-18
Compared to America’s Bitter Pill and Where does it Hurt, this is informative in several areas. I’m surprised to hear about Epic one billion Budget for Denmark. I think that’s fall of good Denmark Health system if that’s true unless they are offering a different kind of EHR to them, if that’s the case we American hospitals are stupid not to ask the same. Anyway, like 20th chapter information. This novel flows like a text book curriculum for MHA students and MBA. I can see significant hard work in collecting this data and impressive. Lot of repetition about the rules but it sticks at the end. I don’t think non medical people will be able Stick till the end. I think this is one of the must read books as Medical student.

In this book, Atul Gawande explores how doctors strive to close the gap between best intentions and best performance in the face of obstacles that sometimes seem insurmountable.

Details related to obstetrics, death penalty and cystic fibrosis research are amazing. Deep dive into Indian surgeons performance is impressive. Five take homes are great. Loved it. Strongly recommend this to medical students and residents and almost everyone in healthcare should read this book. Kudos once again Atul. This one as good as Being Mortal and checklist manifesto.
