A reliably good time!
Revisado: 04-23-24
Time spent with Eleanor, Clifford, Gladstone, and Hugh is always time well spent.
A cozy mystery filled with historical nuggets, lovely characters, and excellent narration.

Despite marriage to a millionaire's daughter and success as a vice president of Donaldson's, Inc. - manufacturers of the world-famous Donaldson's Dog-Joy - Freddie Threepwood, Lord Emsworth's younger son, still goes in fear of his aunts when at Blandings Castle. A charming Blandings comedy with a full Wodehouse complement of aunts, pigs, millionaires, colonels, imposters, and dotty earls.

Listening to this series in sequence is great for context but this one is my favorite so far. The narration is spot on, the pacing is great, and Woodhouse’s snappy and hilarious style truly shines here.

Fun story, narration issues
Revisado: 11-30-22
I really enjoy these stories and yes, it’s included but not my favorite narrator. There’s an overall lack of distinction from one character to the next and the tendency to make all Americans sound southern is just grating.
