Chapters not in order
Revisado: 03-15-25
So strange that the chapters aren’t in order. You have to constantly search for the next section and thus cannot cannot listen straight through. Audible is better than that. Has annoying, very loud ads. Narrator is ok. Like listening to mom read a bedtime story. Not a voice actress. Can’t say much about the story as I quit after a few chapters, but I’m interested enough to seek it out somewhere else. I’ll listen on Sleepy Bookshelf instead,

Great Truth and Great Narrator!
Revisado: 07-29-24
I love, love, love this audiobook! I enjoy it any time, but it’s especially helpful when I’m discouraged but need to be up and about. I like it so much I’ve recommended it to several friends, and I’ve purchased physical versions of this book to have on hand when the grandkids arrive.
Though it’s aimed at children, I really appreciate Sally Lloyd-Jones and her way of presenting Bible truth in memorable, concise words. Easier for me to remember than a chapter on theology! Bits and pieces stay with me all day long, reminding me what’s true.
And of course, the voice of David Souchet (Masterpiece Theater’s Poirot) adds majesty and expression to this wonderful audiobook. His voice is so deep and resonant, and he uses it to great effect. The producers couldn’t have chosen a better narrator!

Stilted voice acting
Revisado: 01-21-24
I have always liked Anna K. Green’s stories, and these are no exception. The only drawback for me was the stilted voice acting that sometimes distracted me from the narrative. I think I’d listen again in the future, though.

Historia
It’s an adventure story about a young Hero who comes from a far country to win back his lost treasure. It’s a love story about a brave Prince who leaves his palace, his throne - everything - to rescue the one he loves. The best thing about this Story is - it’s true! And at the center of the story, there is a baby. The child upon whom everything would depend. All the stars, mountains, oceans, and galaxies were nothing compared to how much God loved his children. He would move Heaven and Earth to be near them. Always.

Will listen to this over and over
Revisado: 10-24-23
I love the combination of Sally Lloyd-Jones’ writing and David Suchet’s voice acting. I already own Words to Make Your Heart Sing, which I often listen to while working around the house. This title will join the ranks, and I intend to get more of these “Sally and David” audiobooks.

Historia
Set in the days of the British Raj, Kipling's finest novel is the exciting and touching tale of an Irish orphan-boy who has lived free in the streets of Lahore before setting out, with a Tibetan Lama, on a spiritual quest. Kim later enrols in the Indian Service and simultaneously embarks on an espionage mission of supreme importance.

A Must Listen!
Revisado: 08-05-21
A classic adventure performed by a very talented narrator. Would recommend to all. Always clear which character is speaking. The requisite Indian accents are beautiful, and the English is perfect. Nothing I didn’t like, except that it ended. Thanks, Madhav! I plan to explore more of your work!
