I love everything about this book. It is well-written and beautifully read. It combines just the right amount of historical accuracy with a poignant story set during that time. Thank heaven there were incredibly strong and courageous women to carry out this awesome and dangerous job and share their love of reading and books with a people starving for more of everything as well as shedding a light on a persecuted population of the United States of America.

This book was totally unexpected.

I guess I was going by the title and believed I would be listening to Tom Hanks literally relating his experiences about the making of a motion picture. I was surprised that this was not the case and in fact was treated to a motion pictures via audio only. Sit back, relax, close your eyes, and enjoy the ride as you are transported to the making of a major motion picture.

This is a wonderful new series by Ms. J. If you have never read any of her other wonderful novels, you will fall in love with these characters while you picture yourself a part of the story. If you love her other series as I do, this will be a truly enjoyable addition to your collection as the characters continue on with the training of amazing animals that do add so much to the story. A very enjoyable listen!

The narration was so poor that I am not sure if it was the story or just the narration that was so boring and monotonous. I sped up the narration in case that might fix the issue as it has for other books, but it did not help at all. I am sorry, Ms. Michaels, but I cannot recommend this book.
