Historia
Doctor Elehri Mussurana has spent a lifetime on her work. She's guarded her pet project close to her chest, letting only one person share her secret - her husband and lab partner Ernst Wharner. As their experiment reaches its final, glorious fruition, they watch in awe as sparks fly in a sealed chamber and specks of sapphire light begin to join together into a shining haze. A wormhole in time and space is being created.... But then something unexpected appears inside the swirling vortex: a tall blue box with the words "Police Public Call Box" on the side.

Average story
Revisado: 07-22-13
Would you say that listening to this book was time well-spent? Why or why not?
Not really.
Did Frances Barber do a good job differentiating all the characters? How?
She did, I could tell the difference between the characters.
Did Doctor Who: Snake Bite inspire you to do anything?
No.
Any additional comments?
This was really average--not terrible, not great. I'll listen to it again, just not soon. I think it could have had more suspense or more humor or more something, anything. It was just average. That's really all I can say about it.

The Doctor and children!
Revisado: 05-24-13
What did you love best about Doctor Who - Dalek Generation?
I liked the Doctor interacting with children for most of the novel.
Any additional comments?
I enjoyed this story, though near the end I found it a little haunting. I know that can be good sometimes, but I was really affected by several scenes. I recommend this audiobook. Only thing that is a negative is that Nicholas Briggs doesn't do a very good 11th Doctor. His 9th Doctor is much better.

Historia
Michael Maloney reads this original adventure by Dan Abnett, featuring the Eleventh Doctor, Amy and Rory. For centuries the Maintainers have worked. With no help from other worlds, they subsist on the food they can grow and that’s little enough. But their purpose, their whole life, is to maintain the machines that will one day make their world as habitable as old Earth. Life used to be hard. Now as crops fail, livestock sicken, and the temperature drops, it’s becoming impossible.

Does not capture the doctor
Revisado: 04-20-13
What made the experience of listening to Doctor Who: The Silent Stars Go By the most enjoyable?
I liked the way the narrator portrayed Amy's Scottish accent.
How could the performance have been better?
Michael Maloney really does a terrible job at voicing the Doctor. It is no where close to the 11th Doctor.
Did you have an extreme reaction to this book? Did it make you laugh or cry?
I really enjoyed this story. This is the first story I've encountered with the Ice Warriors besides the recent Dr. Who episode "Cold War."
Any additional comments?
I got a good deal on this audiobook because I purchased the Kindle book. I feel like I got a good deal even though the "Doctor" is not captured in the least. It is also hard to tell the Doctor and Rory apart in the narration. Otherwise it is a very good narration. Once again I like the story.

Historia
Thrown off course by a howling storm, the TARDIS lands in a bleak, desolate stretch of countryside. The Doctor deduces that it has arrived in Hampshire in the 1920s and, sniffing the air, he smells a distinct odour of sulphur - indicating that a spaceship has crashed in the area. While Rory goes to fetch an umbrella, Amy and the Doctor brave the rain to find the stricken craft. It is huge, shiny, silvery-blue - and completely empty. A set of footprints leads to a cosy-looking, old-fashioned cottage: but the house, too, is deserted.

It started out good
Revisado: 03-13-13
Is there anything you would change about this book?
I would change the "twist."
How would you have changed the story to make it more enjoyable?
I think that having a different reason for the house being "empty" would have make the story more enjoyable. I wanted to be wowed.
What aspect of Raquel Cassidy’s performance would you have changed?
I think she did I fine job.
Any additional comments?
It was alright but it didn't have that "ooh" moment where there's a twist and you are astonished, excited, and pleased.
