Historia
First published as a pamphlet in 1850 in response to the socialist-communist plans and ideas being adopted in France at that time, The Law remains equally relevant today, as the same ideas are now sweeping America.

Another unlistenable narrator
Revisado: 06-29-22
A classic that I am trying to fully understand reduced to a trite annoyance by this sing songy reading. I am tired of the disproven assumption that an English accent adds to the interest of a narration. It is read at a cadence and random emphasis that it could be a fairy tale. There’s not a hint of concern for the reader’s understanding of the text, just musically plod on through sentence and paragraph. Spare me.

Historia
"The Grand Inquisitor" is a central chapter of Dostoyevsky's novel The Brothers Karamazov. The middle brother, Ivan, is having a conversation with his younger brother, Alyosha. Ivan represents the rationalist and nihilistic ideology that permeated Russia in the 19th Century. Alyosha's beliefs counterbalance his brother's. He embodies hope. Ivan tells Alyosha a vision where the grand inquisitor, during the Spanish inquisition, encounters Jesus Christ, who has made a return to Earth.

Horrible performance of a classic
Revisado: 06-27-22
Presented by what seems to be a pseudo intellectual high school drama student and his cognitively challenged side kick. Avoid this like the plague. Obnoxious way to present a classic.
