Long and good
Revisado: 06-01-22
Story starts off good but hangs abit long but gets going again. Nick Podhel adds characters variety and gender distinction very well, true master narrator of our age. Author has a very even hand character dialog, inflection, and building, also detailed stage descriptions and story momentum. I am looking forward to next episode.

Historia
A lot had changed in "The Holy Sky" School during the six weeks that Hadjar Darkhan was away. Everyone who was in the capital at the time became much stronger, thanks to the regular skirmishes along the Imperial road. By the emperor's decree, all the disciples of the Imperial martial arts schools were allowed to visit the infamous and highly coveted Wastelands. "The Holy Sky's" disciples were especially fortunate - they'd been given a two-week head start to find the map leading to Emperor Decater's tomb, as well as the key that would allow them to enter his chambers.

Too much background info
Revisado: 02-23-21
Such a struggle to enjoy. Too much introspection and reflection, too much back ground information, when getting back to story I forgot what was going on with characters. Voice actor was fine, says coffee really weird.

Introspected Mage
Revisado: 01-02-21
The story is good. But, too much introverted thoughts, almost like the Spell Monger series but doesn't have the in depth entertaining sauce. The narrator was really good 9 out of 10. The narrative characters were unique, not monotonal.
Magic system is different and unique ( to my knowledge ).

Great Story Driven Book
Revisado: 06-07-20
Narrator did a great job on character acting. The author story and description of things was great. I look forward to the next book. If could fix something, main character needs some setbacks and lessons learned - less every plan/action is flawless (Marty Stu).

Great book out of series
Revisado: 11-26-18
As the series progress the better the story gets. This book has less lengthy explanations of social/society debates, than previous books which I like. Nick Podehl brings this book to life with various characters voice enactment, a true master of story teller.

a good story, great performance
Revisado: 05-13-18
The writer doesn't trust the reader to remember anything, bombarded with retelling who, what, where... ect. As an audio book this is fine, if I were reading this I would have lost interest. The narrator did a great reading, put life into character while reading to us.

Goodkind intrigues me again
Revisado: 01-30-17
One doesn't have to read/heard all the books to pick this book to enjoy it. Author makes it easy for new readers to help with some history on main characters, however, it helps to have read them to understand some terminology concerning Palace of the Profits about the main characters. The narrator does make an effort to give life to characters but does above mediocre job. I can wait for the next book.
