Bad language

I really liked the first one of this series. I don't remember them using the Lord's name along with the F bomb. This one uses it more as the story goes on. So unnecessary and in very poor taste. Since they spoke Gaelic I doubt it would translate like that!

Maybe it's not offensive to you but it is to me. This book uses the Lord's name and "God" and GD. A lot!

This book uses the F Bomb. So unnecessary! It seems like it could be a cute story but I couldn't listen to it because of the language. It makes them sound like trailer trash.

Too many names
Revisado: 05-01-12
I couldn't keep track of who was whom. So many names of men. I never could remember who they were speaking of. I lost interest after 5 chapters.

Historia
Since she was just a little girl, Jessie Stone has dreamed up hundreds of marriage proposals and fantasized about wedding dresses and falling in love. She’s been a bridesmaid nearly a dozen times, waved numerous couples off to sunny honey-moons, and shopped in more department stores for half-price fondue pots than she cares to remember. But shopping for one key component in her own happily ever after hasn’t been as productive–a future husband. The man she thought she would marry cheated on her. The crush she has on her best friend Blake is at very best…well, crushing.

Don't bother
Revisado: 05-12-10
I put up with this book until the 4th chapter when God showed up in the form of a man. I just couldn't stomach this supernatural excuse for a tale. I would have given it minus 4 stars but it wasn't an option.

Love this book/audio
Revisado: 12-02-08
I have always enjoyed this story. It was a wonderful read aloud when our children were young teens. Such a wonderful story of family pulling together when the chips are down. And making the most of the family you have. For how bad things get it has a triumphant finish.
