Very creepy, but almost like the author was trying to write something Netflix would pick up. Lacked character development and other rich details that differentiate novels from TV

Entertaining, unpredictable story with an interesting main character. Good narrator. Not too long.

One of the better mysteries I've listened to

It's not Charlaine Harris's fault that she's written such an entertaining series in the Sookie Stackhouse books that her other books seem lesser by comparison. These books are some of the better mysteries I've listened to - especially when compared to other mystery authors like Harlan Coben and James Patterson. Just do not expect the same kind of thing you get in the SS books.
