Disappointed
Revisado: 09-27-22
Kitty is so stupid in this one. She continually does stupid impetuous things without thinking things through. Matt is the saving grace. The plot was okay, but I do wish she was a lot more sensibly cautious with getting backup.

Historia
England, 1920. Lady Eleanor Swift, adventurer extraordinaire and reluctant amateur detective, is taking a break from sleuthing. She’s got much bigger problems: Eleanor has two left feet, nothing to wear and she’s expected at the masked ball at the local manor. Her new beau Lance Langham is the host, so she needs to dazzle. Surrounded by partygoers with painted faces, pirates, priests and enough feathers to drown an ostrich, Eleanor searches for a familiar face. As she follows a familiar pair of long legs up a grand staircase, she’s sure she’s on Lance’s trail.

This book was very disappointing--a big build-up and big letdown for an ending. Read very well.

Historia
In Hide My Eyes, Campion finds himself hunting down a serial killer. A spate of murders leaves him and his friend and colleague Inspector Luke, with only the baffling clues of a left-hand glove and a lizard-skin lettercase. However a chain of strange events leads them to an odd museum of curiosities hidden in a quiet London neighbourhood where there is more going on than meets the eye.

Disappointed, but good enough
Revisado: 04-09-20
My main disappointment is that there isn't mjuch of Campion in it. And I didn't like that it almost made a virtue of sticking with a criminal to the end.

Jack Havoc, jail-breaker and knife artist, is on the loose on the streets of London once again. In the faded squares of shabby houses, in the furtive alleys and darkened pubs, the word is out that the Tiger is back in town, more vicious and cunning than ever. It falls to Albert Campion to pit his wits against the killer and hunt him down through the city's November smog before it is too late.

Too much violence

disappointed--a lot of violence and cruelty and not enough of logic and Campion. Also seemed drawn out.
