throughout the narrator clears their throat, takes drinks. and has to start sentences over, sometimes more than once. some basic editing of the audio file would have fixed the issue and the narration would have been fine. instead it was disturbing actually.

Great explanation of what your inner child is.

This book does a great job explaining the theory of healing your inner child and why it can help us heal. However some of the suggested methods of healing I found to be insulting, demeaning and childish and not in a good way. I'm sorry but I can't fathom how coloring pictures with crayons with my left hand every day is going to help me heal my severe childhood trauma. Pretending I'm a child again and acting like a two year old is going to do nothing but make me feel like an idiot. I'd you want to help people heal then maybe realize that some people have serious trauma and playing little kid and coloring is not an answer unless you just want to make them feel worse about themselves.

the main character is infuriating

the story and the series are great but the majority of the time I find myself just wanting to scream at the main character that she is an insecure idiot!

a little less of a major twist than I am used to in Nicholas Sparks book but overall a good book. the music and sound effects didn't benefit the story.

Slow To Start But Worth The Wait

I had a hard time getting interested at first, but it was worth waiting. Although I predicted the ending a out half way through it was a great story. Im suprised by the reviews which blame the turn of events on the mother. I saw the father as much more complicit in the outcome since be refused to see reality and there were never any consequences for bad behavior because he was such a pushover. That whole "my child never does anything wrong" attitude can never end well.

I think other reviews of this book were too harsh. it's a short story but it's cute and while it is explicit at times it's not overly so.

Leaves You Hanging

My Least Favorite In The Series

I struggled to finish this one. It seemed redundant, with a lot of rehashed information. The only thing that kept you following the story was the desire to know whose ashes were in the box. If you're looking for a lot of fortuitous sex with no real purpose this is the book for you.

Great story as always. The narration could have been better. although the voices were good, the performance was a bit robotic.

A Poor Me Fest

There is a nice twist you dont see coming, but most of the book is about a woman with no self esteem whining about how awful she is and feeling sorry for herself while allowing her obviously horrible husband to mistreat her. it's sort of maddening to listen to.
