Historia
Henry "Monty" Montague doesn't care that his roguish passions are far from suitable for the gentleman he was born to be. But as Monty embarks on his grand tour of Europe, his quests for pleasure and vice are in danger of coming to an end. Not only does his father expect him to take over the family's estate upon his return, but Monty is also nursing an impossible crush on his best friend and traveling companion, Percy.

Absolutely Bloody Marvelous!!!
Revisado: 10-05-22
I want to wear this book like a coat. I'm so loathe to part with it that I'm just going to have to start it all over again. What a delicious story, so well researched and written and, of course, perfectly enhanced by Christian Coulson's narration/acting. Surely there should be some law that prohibits authors, who cannot match McKenzie Lee's standard of excellence, from ever being published.
I think that I am in love - with the characters, the prose, the creative turns of phrase, the vivid descriptions and the perfectly timed, laugh out loud, gobbets of humour that take one completely by surprise. I am oh so happy to have this book in my life.

Historia
Imagine if you made one little mistake when you were young and were punished for it for the rest of your life. Well, that’s what happened to Lydia (yes, that Lydia, the youngest Bennet sister from Pride and Prejudice), and she’s here to set the record straight. Hold on to your teacups and get ready for sophisticated (and a little bit naughty) hot takes and witty banter that’ll make you laugh—and think. We meet Lydia just as she is denounced by her family, exiled miles from home, and married to the rogue George Wickham, who seems to love all women...except his own wife.

Marvellous, wonderful an absolute delight

Why have I not heard of Sarah Page before? Who knew that Lydia Wickham had such inner strengths. Trust Jessie Buckley and Johnny Flynn to bring this unexpected, compelling, jewel of a story to life. Thank you, thank you, and thank you again.
I believe that this is the first Pride and Prejudice sequel that will stay with me throughout future readings/viewings of Jane Austen's world renowned book.

Historia
Effie Garrand is quite delusional, having convinced herself and everyone else that local artist Jock Fleming is in love with her, and that they are engaged. After a huge fight with Jock, Effie is found in the mountains, poisoned by hemlock. Now, it's up to Hamish to find the dreamer's killer before any more nightmares unfold.

Hamish gets Hit
Revisado: 10-25-21
The story is engaging, as most of MC Beaton's are, and the narrator, Graeme Malcolm, is perfect.
