Historia
Does nature really make us feel better? The 3-Day Effect takes a look at the science behind why being in the wild can make us happier, healthier, and more creative. Whether it’s rafting down Utah’s Green River, hiking in Utah’s wilderness, or walking through Rock Creek Park in Washington, DC, scientists are finding that the more exposure humans have to nature, the more we can benefit from reduced anxiety, enhanced creativity, and overall well-being.

Unique Research, Easy to Listen To
Revisado: 05-20-19
This book was great. I love books narrated by the authors because you can tell they're so much more personally invested. I had never heard of the 3-day effect before and really enjoyed the three different trips the author went on to delve deeper into this theory. The audio recordings of the people she interviewed made the whole project come alive for the listener and really shed some light on the way nature can heal and rejuvenate people from all walks of life. Thanks for the great recommendation, Audible!

Love the Concept, not the Character
Revisado: 05-20-19
This book had potential to be a lot more. The plot itself and the idea of the two characters is unique and fun but the main character had so many immature moments, it became hard to reconcile. I enjoyed the fast pace of the book so you don't feel like you're wasting any time getting to the romance scenes, but the interaction between the two characters never fully developed and seemed a little forced -- probably because there wasn't time to really delve into their backgrounds. Overall the performance, concept, and plot were good and the romance scenes were great. Which, let's be honest, is what most people care about in a book like this, right?

Historia
When Angela met Jason Powell while catering a dinner party in East Hampton, she assumed their romance would be a short-lived fling, like so many relationships between locals and summer visitors. To her surprise, Jason, a brilliant economics professor at NYU, had other plans, and they married the following summer. For Angela, the marriage turned out to be a chance to reboot her life. She and her son were finally able to move out of her mother's home to Manhattan, where no one knew about her tragic past.

Good plot twist at end
Revisado: 05-20-19
The narrator did a good job keeping you invested while also conveying the emotions she probably felt throughout the whole ordeal with her husband. The ending has a good twist you THINK you saw coming, but really have no idea. Overall, I found it very easy to listen to and easy to get wrapped up in.

Historia
When you listen to this audiobook, you will make many assumptions. You will assume you are listening to a story about a jealous ex-wife. You will assume she is obsessed with her replacement - a beautiful, younger woman who is about to marry the man they both love. You will assume you know the anatomy of this tangled love triangle. Assume nothing. Twisted and deliciously chilling, The Wife Between Us exposes the secret complexities of an enviable marriage - and the dangerous truths we ignore in the name of love.

So many great twists!
Revisado: 05-14-19
I bought this book based on all the great reviews and I was NOT disappointed. The twists and turns in this book made it almost impossible to put down. I loved the narration and how it was clear who was speaking at what time. The dialogue was fantastic and the imagery made you feel like you were part of the lifestyle of the characters. I can’t recommend this book enough, I loved it. It’s like Gone Girl and Girl on the Train mixed together but BETTER!
